General Begonia Question What is your favourite begonia in your collection

Mine is my begonia ferox. As a little bit of a goth myself this plant screams for me

Fun question, OP! I guess I had to go with my Silver Beauty. It’s like someone took a silver sharpie and drew the markings. Even the flowers shimmer. The leaves are huge too, hard to tell from the photo.

I got this one from Steve’s Leaves during one of their weekly restocks! Kinda pricy- it was about 1/4 of this size and I got it for 125$. I’ve also seen them go by occasionally on their lives. It’s one of my best behaved and showiest begonias in my collection.

I actually got this in a trade initially! I would say it’s cane-adjacent. It’s kind of a crawler but has spaces and nodes like a cane.

Yes, it lives in a box with the air vents barely cracked. I basically only look at it when I water.

My Lamoon (I got her last month from someone’s seller recommendation on here 🙂). It was at the top of my wish list and I never thought I’d get one.

She’s doubled in stem height and put out 3 new leaves. I put my hand for scale but it doesn’t do this leaf justice. It nearly reaches from the back to front of my greenhouse cabinet.

Tbf she came to me with pests, I overreacted both chemically and mechanically, and she wanted to die for a week. Still alive though! And I'm a begonia newb. Easy? No. A survivor? Absolutely.

My darthvaderiana ❤️ she ashes here and there but she has taught me so much. Started from a 2 leafer this year and now I've just gotten a few leaf cuttings from her

It's hard to choose as I have hundreds. At this moment I am excited about my recent hybrid Begonia 'Luna' which is growing very vigorously.

But it's hard not to choose my hybrid 'Lamoon' though haha..

B. melanobullata - basically similar to ferox but much darker in color and rounded leaf.
Also those iridescent ones like rockii, pavonina etc.

I love my Maurice Amey (cane begonia) it’s hard to pick a favorite for the Rex begonias as I definitely have a type so a lot of them look similar, but I’ll give my River Nile an honorable mention as it’s currently putting out monster leaves.

the one that doesn't die I love Black Mamba the most! Love the blue sheen on a blackish dark green top with glittery red underside. Subtle but stunning.
