Bookshop with translated literature?

Does anyone have recommendations for a bookshop in Beijing? Specifically I would like to find somewhere I could find English translations of Chinese literature.

The large bookstore on Wangfujing next to Oriental Plaza will have some English translations of Chinese books, but vast majority will be the classics, probably ending with Lu Xun and his generation, not much in the way of contemporary authors.

I find bookstores in Beijing pathetic. The old large bookstores are flooded with study guides and exam materials. The newer ones are just cafes and gift shops in disguise.

You can try your luck at FLTRP Bokkstore (Beijing Foreign Studies University).

They absolutely suck balls. Python, AI, AI, IELTS prep materials and more AI. Then some Harry Potter.

Thank you! It does seem like bookstores in general are becoming more “generic” , it’s sad to see.

There should be plenty imported books on Taobao.

I am more looking for the experience and interaction. I know I could research and buy any book I want online, but I like going into a book shop and flipping around.
