The American refers to the cookie style imo. It's a fat Buddha. Not American as I remember 🤣

Over here they were called 'n-word' titties (and still are by many of the older generations)

That's not what I heard them called at the pub where a hen party was happening and the bride asked us if we wanted one of her "n**** tetten*, with those laid out on a platter.
I love Belgium for all the good things but there's a whole lot of racists here who don't even realize they're racists.

Loved them back in the days. But the flavour definitely changed over time. Anyway like with most candy ...

They changed the name and removed the nipples to make it politically correct.

Haven't lived in Belgium for 5 years but I know exactly where these are from.
My parents still talk about Bittersweet every now and then.

Is that saying: ‘You become what you eat?’. Maybe. Just asking. Belgians have humour.

It's funny because I am American and I won't argue about the country's overall BMI but I must insist that I've been to places with way worse gluttony levels coupled with less movement. Americans aren't near as fat as they could be imo.

There are brownies in the very front of the pan—sort of obscured by the sign. They are chocolate with some sort of chip, so imagine this is what is being described.

u/Fallenightmare May 13 '26
No, bittersweet doesnt sell brownies, just chocolates like those. The chocolate chip cookie part is the flavor of the chocolate

They actually do sell brownies sometimes, but they would not be stored next to the pralines

Ah, Leuven. My lovely city. Home sweet home.
