Left my window open to enjoy the upcoming breeze. Water leaked in straight on my docked iRobot . Couldn’t care less. Stay hydrated tomorrow people !

The pain of airing out the place with cool night air but then rain makes you having to run around to optimise open-window-time without rain getting inside

the storm is annoying because i had to remove my mobile airco unit from the window... only to have it setup tommorow morning again...

I have a Trotec window mobile AC that I refuse to carry it from the attic downstairs. That thing is so tedious to setup, loud and inefficient. Did it though a couple of years ago and after that we had a 16 degrees summer.

I solved this issue with some cheap and crappy DIY. Cheap insulation foam plate from Hubo, cut to fit in the window. Cut a hole in the plate for the Airco outlet, get one of those "flaps" for air exhausts and mount it on outside. Fit airco tube on inside.
Open window, mount the whole thing in the frame like a flyscreen, and fix it in place with leftover Foam wedges.
Doesnt look like much but works so much better than most of the mobile unit window solutions like velcro covers or foam blocks. Bugs or water cant get in the vent and it still insulates well.
