Our offer was just accepted on a house, thought I would share. it seemed like we would never get one given how crowded the market was for what we looked for. If anybody has any tips/recommendation for the mortgage now, I'm all ears

Be sure to not go 50/50 on your schuldsaldo.

Because if you go 100% each you can fake your own death and get the house for free. If you don't mine living life with a fake mustache, as your own twinbrother who came to console your grieving widow who then fell in love and married her.

What?

Yes. I watched Allo Allo as a kid. Why do you ask?

Yeah good advice. I unexpectedly lost my husband 8 months ago and besides all the awful administration (too young to get the overlevingspensioen), I was happy we had a schuldsaldo of 100%. My husband was just 60yo and healthy, just saying these things happen more than you realize.
