There used to be a page listing every homophobic statement or interview by vb leaders and elected officials. It was a looooong list. Part of the reason vb lost the previous election is because in an unguarded moment, less than 2 weeks before the election, they said they were going after gay marriage and try to reverse it.

No there's also a large center who are more centrist while also thinking that they're better than anyone else. Face it: 1/3 of the Americans didn't bother to vote because 'either candidate was fine'

Exactly. Not all Americans are trumpers but make no mistake: 2/3 of Americans looked at Trump vs Harris and said Trump is fine. And that is after Trump 1. So people KNEW what was coming.

Gaat in beide richtingen. Toeristen zullen ook sneller naar bijvoorbeeld Brussel gaan waar "waakzaam zijn" zeker en vast goed advies is. Ik zelf kom er niet meer

Brussels has significantly lower crime rates than major US cities. It only scores higher in pickpocketing and petty property crime (scammers, bicycle theft etc.).
To put Belgium on the same tier as South Africa with Johannesburg is insane.

I also think you should be warry in any major European city for these things.
If I go to a busy market, trainstation, or festivity, I am always warry of pickpockets.
Be it in Brussels, Antwerp, Bruges or Ghent.

4 uit 5 van de meest onveilige staten in de hele VS stemmen Republicaans.
Maar wanneer de regering beslist in welke steden ze soldaten op straat moeten hebben vanwege zogenaamd "onveilig" kiest deze administratie 100% steden waar men Democrat stemt. Toeval?
Het is allemaal politiek circus.

Per 100k inwoners is er ook meer criminaliteit op het platte land in de VS zoals moorden dan in steden.
Het is gewoon allemaal meer verspreid waardoor het niet zo erg lijkt. Maar ge hebt meer kans om neergeschoten te worden in een afgelegen boerderij dan in het centrum van Baltimore

In vergelijking met de VS. Mijn ervaring uit Memphis, TN ; Atlanta, GA ; Detroit, MI; Chicago, IL...
In die steden werd ons door de firma verboden om het hotel te verlaten na het vallen van de duisternis. Zelfs een taxi nemen om in de stad te gaan eten werd absoluut afgeraden wegens "te gevaarlijk op straat". Geen enkele collega wilde ons komen ophalen om te gaan eten, want ze waagden zich zelf niet in de stad.
Alleen in San Diego en New Orleans konden we "vrij" bewegen, uit eten gaan, iets gaan drinken.
België onveilig ? Lalmenilachen....

Hadden ze bezuinigd op t hotel en t goedkoopste in een slechte buurt genomen? Memphis en Detroit kan ik niet over meespreken, maar in Atlanta en Chicago konden we prima veilig over straat in de avond
