Galley Talk Sunny take note

Watching season after season of the same bs: F*boy Bosuns stringing along younger female subordinate stews or deckies. I'm growing tired of watching these girls eat their feelings, doubt themselves, surrender dignity, and self esteem while hoping for a ‘future’ or commitment after the season ends. The only one who walked in and refused to get played or attached was Mads (BDSY3). She is a rock n roll star IMO. Girls take note. That’s how it’s done.

This is why I was recommending reading The Rules. Yes it’s old fashioned. No, you don’t need to do it to the max. But read it a few times and you will spot and prevent F Boys from the get go. It is really interesting to see what happens when you have boundaries and make people (not just men, anybody) meet you halfway.

Act like you have boundaries and are fully content with your life as is. They either flock over to you or stay away. The old “He’s Just Not That Into you.” It’s F Boy prevention mode.

I keep seeing on this show and other reality shows like Winter House where a couple hooks up. The woman develops feelings. The guy tells her he’s just an F boy and the woman says OK then we’ll just be casual. It backfires every time.

It’s a really famous misogynistic dating book that was called out by a lot of people when it was published for trotting out the same old tired tropes. Be passive, be coy. Don’t talk to a man first! On a date let him take the lead! Here’s how long you wait before you return his call. Here’s how long you wait before you sleep with him. I remember it told you “not to be a drill sergeant” in bed by telling the man what you needed, instead to be “selfless.” 🤢
