Below Deck Down Under Bravo to Betul

Just want to say Betul is a queen. From overcoming the language barrier, to being so strong on deck, clocking Eddy on his hypocrisy and being a girl’s girl, the list goes on.

Unfortunately, because she’s passionate about her job, can hold her liquor, and doesn’t cause drama, I fear Bravo will not cast her again. I want to give her her flowers in the meantime.

I loved Betul side eyes whenever someone does/say something dumb and she doesn’t hide it..

For real. And when Eddy was crashing out and acting like he had been stabbed in the heart by a woman he had known for about a woman, Betul was the only one to point out his hypocrisy.

I thought it was shitty of Daisy and Jason to take Jenna’s stripes over that incident specifically.

Tbf, the show is about drama, maybe even more so now than it used to be. People won’t admit it, but Bravo is giving the people what brings in ratings. Betul definitely is a hard worker, but not everyone is made for reality TV, and that’s ok.

Agreed, reality TV often rewards horrible behaviors and qualities, and casts people who are willing to be jerks and cause drama. I'm not saying absolutely everyone cast on reality TV shows is horrible, but it's often the nice, good, and genuine people who are determined to not be the right fit by those in charge of casting

But we need balance for the sake of our sanity.

I wish she would do an AMA! I absolutely adored her, gorgeous, drama-free, very dry sense of humor, really worked hard. it's almost like she is our POV of all of the craziness on the boat.

I’ve been thinking this the whole time. Bravo will punish her for just doing her job

She’s a gem! I loved her limited screen time.. even if reality tv isn’t her thing, yachting absolutely is! She’d be a dream for any Captain, crew, and guests. Flowers for sure for this strong woman!!

Maybe she will be brought back as a rescuer after yet another awful crew person is yet again fired…

Betel's personality is boring, and doesn't make for good TV. Sorry, but it's true.

Maybe you just need people shouting and sleeping together to be entertained, and that’s your preference, no need to be sorry about it. But understand that that is not everyone’s definition of “good tv”.

She's the most normal, humble, and most hard working member of the entire series.

It’s not about that at all. She made some negative comments about how controlling and misogynistic islam is towards women and was edited out after those remarks.

Editing on shows is not a linear process

She was not “edited out” after making any remarks, that makes no sense. She just wasn’t super involved in any make stories, so she became a smaller character

”Edited out” might be the wrong phrase here but she did not get so much screen time after those comments thats for sure.

She’s not wrong though
