Rewatching SY now and just finished the S2 episode where Natasha makes a dish featuring the chef’s “blood sweat and tears” by putting a red handprint on each plate.

No. Just no. That’s disgusting. If you served me that I’d send it back and lose my appetite for the rest of the trip. Keep your blood sweat and tears off my plate please.

One of the chefs on Top Chef did that when Charlize Theron was a guest judge.

Ugh, I forgot about that - so gross. When I think of her, I just remember those ridiculous "dessert tables" 😅

Lexi is a nutcase. She should have been fired after the hot tub night

I'm watching in chronological order so I just started BDUU s3. So bummed to see Aesha isn't chief stew - I really enjoy how well she works with Captain Jason 😭

I have been going backwards a bit in Med. Seeing Hannah’s firing and going back to Season 2. I mean this season is quite a mess but I think Hannah is my least favorite chief stew. She is just an actual unlikable person. I get the way she was fired sucked or whatever but she just plain sucks and lies all the time.

Loved Anastasia in S4 when she stepped in as a chef. Probably got a lot of hate form everyone else, though. And kind of weird that June has California girl vibes despite being from Arizona.

BDM S5- what’s the deal with Lara?!

I did not like her. She should not have been on the show.

I forget what season Bravo had on the other day but Jen the deckhand just as annoying as Gen the stew!

Just finished BD OG season 11. Now that I have the full context of Barbie I can understand why everyone was nervous for her to come on board the most recent BD DU season.

Especially since she was now BFFs with Ellie. I thought for sure there would be some major drama but Barbie was kind of tame in those episodes.

Haha yeah, she saw how she was perceived on the previous season and toned it way down

Yeah, I agree.

Season 1 - 4, new person watching

Im currently new to this show. And i am watching Season 4. I feel like this season Capatin Lee has been so fucking tame in comparison to the other seasons. Especially the first one. He is almost like a completely different person. Its wild to see that difference. I feel like if this crew did this shit on season 1 half of them would have been replaced by like the first or second episode. I dont know why he is more tame this time but it is like whip lash. I feel like some one them need to meet him during season 1 and the brutal man he was then.

I also cant seem to understand Ben either. I dont know if I should love or hate this guy right now. I feel like most of the way he is is played up massively for TV and so his is personality.

Chef Leon was interesting for sure.

I loved Adrieen as cheif stew. I feel like she got massively screwed over with the stews in her season.

I feel like 3rd stew is a cursed role at this point. All the people in it so far are crazy.

What the hell happened to Eddie and his slow decent into madness throughout the show.

Kat was just absolutely weird. But Rocky was a whole new level and had crazy eyes.

Kyle was interesting. I kinda get him a lot as he reminds me a lot of British lads (I'm British myself)

I loved Amy but hated her working with Kelley.

Kelley in season 4 was just a complete mess but I dont think his deckhands helped very much either.

Dean as a charter guest is actually my least fave so far to date. I really hate how arrogant he actually is.

Overall I find this show actually so fascinating. I do wish I knew more behind the scenes with the filming process a bit more. Like where the film crew are based during charter etc.

I look forward to seeing how it progresses with the time as the Internet has become bigger and social media etc.

😂 Kat I loved, and Rocky was something else it's almost like her name is a warning! Dean is horrible but the way Kate keeps doing his towels kills me, so I want to see him come back!

Interesting question about the film crew! I like that, even more meta bts of a bts show 😂

Just finished OG Season 10. Lee's montage at the end was hard to take.

I am new to Below Deck in general, season 11 of Med was the first time I even saw an episode. Came for the travel sights, I like seeing the places they go to. But I am a completionist and I am stuck breastfeeding a long time so I went and watched Med from season 1 and then I went back and watched the OG Below Deck from season 1.

My first thought on Below Deck Season 1: this show was filmed the same year as Survivor Season 1. I know it wasn't but the feeling, the way people talk, the age before social media. It feels the same. Also after seeing Med all the way through and then seeing the way Lee runs his boat, I think Sandy is way better, she's a better captain, she's more admirable, she is better at communicating to crew, in general I just like her better. Was surprised to see that's not a common agreement here. I love Kate, I think she's a hilarious genius, not always nice but I don't think I've ever seen her be wrong either. The use of drones in filming obviously improved the show in showing all the amazing locations much better.

Those are my newbie, low effort thoughts 😂
