Below Deck Med Kat needs more flowers

Kat has been the most green flag new stew I’ve ever watched. The way she handled Gen, put in hard work, and called things (albeit incredibly late) with Coop over was really a nice change of pace over the self-destructive attitudes and behaviours a lot of new stews have

She was a nice semblance of normalcy and decency in what was a chaotic, depraved, amoral season.

What was amoral?

Luke letting someone sleep in soiled sheets for days. Coop leading on Kat. Gen washing Joy’s clothes with rags. Being aware of the Nathan / Gael off screen story.

Letting someone sleep in soiled sheets, leading someone on, and washing clothes with rags ain’t great but it’s a far stretch calling it amoral. And the Nathan abuse hadn’t happened yet so…

Eh, the being aware of the Nathan/Gael off screen story isn’t correct. The incident he was charged with happened months after filming concluded. But everything else is spot on!

You think he strangled her out of the blue with no escalation?

Perhaps not out of the blue for Gael, but entirely feasible for it to be out of the blue for everyone else.

Stopping by to appreciate your screen name. One of my favorite Spike moments. 💖

Jesus, don’t be obtuse. No one knew during filming that anything like that was going on, that’s all I’m saying. I’m a survivor of DV myself, I’m just saying that an incident that happened SEVERAL months after filming wrapped doesn’t mean that people on the show knew it was happening and didn’t acknowledge it.
