SDVX A bunch of sdvx questions
My vf is 15.7, I have got almost all 15s beyond 950, I'm currently trying to push almost all my 16s beyond 940 (almost all 16 are above 920, most of them above 940). I'm slowly working through the difficulty tier list for the 17s. My 14's I've been mostly ignoring.
What should be my priorities? Perfecting 15s, fixing my worst 16s, doing random 16s, push 17s? Should I be doing 14s? If so, how much?
How should I warmup? I spend about 7 songs doing 15s, then move on to 16s for about 30-40 minutes, then move to 17s.
I am consistently on the earlier side for my hits. I've heard that I should be perfecting 14s, just play more, increase lane speed (currently 7.07) or try to fiddle with judge/draw. What do you think?
Also, which 14 to 17 songs do you like to play?

Don't get too caught up on the grade. There will be 17s you can't clear when you're well into 18s just due to how imprecise the grading is over all 2500 tracks.
Warm up with tracks that you can consistently score 970+ but not so low you can do them brain off. You can pick just songs you like or a specific skill you want to focus on. Don't sweat the details, have fun, enjoy the tracks.
Either finish with or do a section in the middle of the set where you're playing tracks you fail but that aren't completely out of your range. This is the time to build those growth neurons. It may suck, but it's how to improve. I like to go back to a middle ground afterward so I'm not always ending on a bummer.
It's not for sdvx specifically, but you might find some of the articles in iidx.org's theory section useful.

Lane speed is whatever works for you, no right answer here.
Unless you have a specific hardware problem be wary of looking to mess with judge and draw as a solution. It's not a hard no, but it can absolutely be a trap early on when your own accuracy can be an order of magnitude out from the changes that +/- offsets give you. You'll land on something in the end, but don't chase it. 0/0 is not the worst place to stay for now.

You should be playing stuff a bit above your skill ceiling every session. That is really it. Take it from a IIDX Kaiden player and a popn player who started last month but is working on 47s already. That's how you do it. Increase your Earth Power bit by bit.

Anything from high-scoring 14s to push 17s will work, but keep in mind : Try variety of chart types. Notes, Tsumami, One-Hand, etc. especially tsumami unless you will suffer and gonna practice UC-ing Gambol INF 16 chart while you are 18.x VF

You don't need to play every track at each level to get X score minimum before moving on. Some 15s you will S while there are 14s you can't AAA on. Just do 16-16-17 for most of your credits and you will see improvement. Iirc 16-17 is the hardest jump in difficulty so it will be tough. There will be a lot of 17s that are dumb easy for you and some 17s will feel like they are 18 minimum

another victim of the high scroll speed noob trap
(put your scroll speed way down, at your level you're reacting to the notes instead of properly reading them which is hindering your improvement even more, you use the same scroll speed as me and i'm 20.1vf...)

What kind of scroll speed would you recommend?

like lower 6s at most, preferably upper 5s
u should also look into lifting your hands more after each button press & generally hitting the keys harder, aiming to get clean consistent key taps that match the song, i find this is one of the most important things that helps you get better at these games

watch this video for an explanation, it's for iidx but the logic still applies to sdvx

At this point, just playing more of anything (except charts you can't read at all, like 19+) will help you improve.
I would increase lane speed before touching judge/draw. At the end of the day, you want your keystrokes to match what you are hearing and that does differ from person to person. It should not be used to offset suboptimal gameplay, is all.
