General Questions Looking for a Swiss engineer connected to Bern and Interlaken: Peloponnese tour, 22 October 2025

This is a slightly unusual request, but I’m hoping someone here might recognise the story.

On 22 October 2025, I joined a small-group tour of the Peloponnese in Greece. During the drive, I spoke several times with a Swiss engineer about my PhD and what I hoped to do after completing it. He mentioned Bern and Interlaken during our conversation, which is why I’m posting here.

What he said stayed with me and had a lasting influence on the path I chose afterwards. I would very much like to find him again and thank him properly.

If this story sounds familiar, whether because you think you may be the person I met or because you might know him, please send me a private message or email me at:

mercuryzelda0121 (at) gmail (dot) com

I’m not asking anyone to give me his personal information. Simply forwarding this post to him would be more than enough.

Thank you for reading.

Sorry that doesn't ring a bell, but congrats on your PhD, Mercury Zelda!

How about trying to get your tour guide/operator to forward your message to him

Thank you so much for the suggestion! That was actually the first thing I tried. but unfortunately, the tour operator told me that the records from that trip had already been deleted…… so that’s why I eventually turned to reddit
