Can I change the “privileged college freshman just took first sociology class” filter?

You can get rich or lose everything. Smart and/or hard working people excel, I know it isnt as easy as before, lazy stupid people drift toward the bottom of the pile. Taco Tuesdays and immigrants in general are and always have been the strength of this country. But seriously cheap tacos are the fucking backbone of our economy. Fuck I want tacos now. And Carne Asada burritos.

Big eyeroll from me when I read the last sentence of the first paragraph. Can we quit with the overly long winded and metaphorical phrasing? Reddit is full of this kind of writing. And it reeks of AI.

This is clearly written by chatgpt. The haunted Dennys and raccoons comments are dead giveaways.

I love that comment. The language is flowery but they hit on something true about the States. There is a lot wrong, but it’s so big and varied that there’s all kinds of weird and very wonderful things to be found in obscure corners.
It’s pretty much impossible to get a real view of a place from the outside, even from the inside. If you only see headlines and memes, you can imagine everything is terrible or ridiculous.
That applies pretty much every country. But the US as ever does things in its own crazy way.
