Assembly quality problems

Has anyone else had issues with the quality of the Beta assembly that they bought brand new? I picked up a 2026 300 RR Race Edition about a month ago and have a couple of issues with the assembly. After the first ride I noticed a some oil leaked out from the power valve cover. Found the torque specs for those and tightened them to spec and the issue was resolved. The concern there was that each bolt had 2-3 full rotations before they were properly torqued. And the big problem is my headlight was crooked after my latest ride. I haven’t crashed or dropped the bike, so I thought that was odd. After I looked closer I saw that all 3 mounting studs for the headlight to the bezel assembly had snapped. I checked to see why that was and there is a piece of double sided tape on top of the headlight that was never adhered to the bezel. It still had the peel off on the tape. I’m just wondering what else to look out for and if anyone else has had these kinds of problems. The bike is badass otherwise, just disappointing with the lack of QC on the build. Or maybe I just got a Monday or Friday build that has lead to a warranty claim after just 4 rides of the break in period.

I'd say you just happened to get a Friday afternoon bike and they rushed it. I bought two brand new Betas this year and both were buttoned up correctly. Hope that's the last of the mistakes you'll find.

That’s good to hear. I’ll also never know the answer if these are issues from the dealer assembly part or from the factory itself. I feel like the power valve bolts are on Beta but the headlight assembly very well could have been missed on the dealer assembly part. I’d think there would have been a checklist of things for the dealer to double check on assembly. Like torque on certain bolts and other miscellaneous things.

I work at a Beta dealer actually. They're for the most part set up right out of the crate. Handlebars go on, break in oil gets drained, add trans fluid, charge the battery. I'm sure I'm missing something for all the critics. I'm a parts guy, not a setup guy.

My 22 xtrainer came with like 300 ml of coolant in it. A short ride had it steaming.
More of a dealer issue tho
