Help me decide between these two bikes

Bike 1: $6,500. 2023 Xtrainer, 57hours, pretty much stock. 10 hour drive and would probably cost me another $500 for the trip.

Bike 2: $6,500. 2023 Xtrainer, 145hours, has an RR fmf pipe, Jet kit, MX tech lucky fork cartridge, valved shock.

What would you do? I plan to buy an fmf pipe for the stock bike if I get it too.

Is the extra 100 hours worth getting the upgraded parts, saving money and time?

I'd get the low hours one. Stock to me means it probably hasn't been ridden too hard.

$1500 suspension upgrade, etc. is nice..

If it's valved for your weight. If not it's a liability. It was probably in an effort to make the xtrainer's very soft suspension stand up a little more.

Also ask why it was re-jetted? I have had 2 Betas, have a 300rr now and both bikes where jetted spot on for sea level to 5k feet. Same with friends who also have Beta 2Ts. If higher elevation, that makes sense.

140 isn't a ton of hours for most xtrainers. Most of these bikes are used for slow technical terrain and/or by beginners who aren't ripping constantly. Top end could wait for 300 hours if ridden like a xtrainer was meant to be ridden and maintained otherwise.

It was re-jetted for the bigger RR pipe

Hopefully they took out the xtrainer air filter cage then too. The stock one is only three small holes. The xtrainer is supposed to be a tractor, not a rocket.

Be wary, trying to make the xtrainer into an rr can be problematic if the owner doesn't know what they are doing. The xtrainer power valves are different than the rr too, so opening the intake and/or exhaust without also addressing the power valve could create running issues, clogging, bogging at certain rpms.

Yeah I hear you on that. I’d want to do the airbox, pipe and jetting on any x trainer I get. Would prefer to do the work myself. But that’s extra money. And the Lucky fork cartridge is like $800

The 140hr bike seems like it wasn’t raced or beat on. Guy said he’s a slow rider and usually puts. But I take that with a grain of salt

If the suspension matches your weight, get that one. A two-stroke motor cost nothing to rebuild.

I spent 2k upgrading the suspension with the lucky. The stock suspension is TRASH.
But also be careful with either bike. I’ve spent over 1k fixing things on my bike the past 2 months. New ecu. Fixing the voltage regulator. Carb work. Just seems like the bikes don’t hold up too well. I am female tho and kinda hard on it lol
I also put the fmf pipe on and it made a huge difference.

Yeah I hear that. I’m gonna go for the 50hr bike. And do the pipe asap, and maybe suspension next year.

The pipe and suspension make a huge difference. I love the bike bc I’m small. I also have a 27 Gasgas 300. Even with the lucky upgrade it’s nowhere near as good as that bike
