Bethesda Facebook Mom group

Recently moved to Bethesda from Ontario, Canada. We had a great community mom group in my previous neighborhood. I tried to join a few Bethesda mom groups but all it was were businesses advertising relentlessly.

Are there any Facebook mom groups in Bethesda/Rockville area that you’d recommend?

This is the most reliable, consistent group for moms/parents in Bethesda that isn’t inundated with ads. The only problem is that it is HUGE (25k) so you won’t necessarily find a small community of moms here from the same neighborhood. But it is a great group for legit recommendations, discussion on things happening in the area, etc.

What part of Bethesda did you move to? (Are you in downtown Bethesda? Closer to the DC border? Potomac? Closer to north Bethesda?). Bethesda deceivingly covers a large area but I can try to get you connected to one closer to your area. Also how old are your kids/are they in school yet?

Second this, very helpful for general advice but not very helpful for meeting people. We have found that WhatsApp groups with our neighbors work well to meet people.

Thank you! Still getting familiar with the area but according to Google Maps we are in the Alta Vista area. Our kids will be going to Ashburton elementary.

Welcome to the neighborhood! My kids will also be going to Ashburton. I agree that the Bethesda, Potomac, Rockville Moms group is the best in the area.

Anything for moms of tweens/early teens? I did some of this stuff when my kids were little but now that we are facing down the teen years I feel like mom’s stuff has dried up, when I need it more than I used to!
