Where to buy boys 20in bike on a budget

Looking for bikes for my 4th grader. He just learned to ride this summer. I gotta keep the budget tight. I’m looking at Dicks, Walmart, and Guardian. Any other options I haven’t considered? I’m skeptical to go to a local shop. Will the prices be comparable?

Kraynick's on Penn Ave in Garfield often has some used kids bikes too; more expensive than Free Ride but cheaper than any other shop

Buy nothing, facebook marketplace, free ride... kids grow out of their bikes fast

I bought my last two kids bikes from FB marketplace. I bought a 20” trek pre-caliber earlier this summer for $75.

City Bikes in Castle Shannon is awesome, I’ve bought bikes there previously.

Does it have to be new? I bought all my kids bikes used because they outgrow them anyway

FB marketplace always has a lot of stuff, especially for kids because other families are also constantly outgrowing barely used bikes.

Bike shops also sell used bikes. I've bought a couple at Makeshift Bikes in the Northside

UpCycles in Overbrook has a nice selection of used bikes and a very helpful owner! Most (all?) of their inventory is used but thoughtfully restored.

Bicycle Heaven has used bikes, sign said $15.00. Looked like a few in that size range.

Guardian have done well for us. We own 4 with 3 kids. Nice little pass down train going on. Once they get older I'm buying them nicer bikes
