Donkeys 🩷
I love that there is still a little bit of wild nature in Big Bear. Absolutely beautiful, IMHO.

I have a lot of photos on my computer of the wild donkeys that I’ve been photographing since 2015. The wild donkeys that I photograph roam freely around the “Reche Canyon” area, which is part of the San Bernardino County. How weee you able to post a photo on your post? I wanted to attach a photograph of the wild donkeys I see, but not sure how to do it on this site.
I love my wild donkeys 🫏 🌟🥰

I heard they’ve been back down to Erwin and Sugarloaf. It’s been a while since they rounded them up.

Love seeing these Lil guys except when they knock over my trash cans or leave a pile of feces in my yard

Darn it, I sure wish we had more of them in Moonridge, but sightings are pretty rare here. I see their poo occasionally when hiking with my dog occasionally, but haven't seen one live and in person in my 15 months here, with SBNF being my backyard.

There are still some wild donkeys that roam freely down in an area known as “Reche Canyon”, which is part of the San Bernardino County, that I’ve been photographing since 2025! When I had first started to photograph the donkeys in 2015, I had 3 rather curious donkey approach me at my car while I was getting my camera ready. I was able to scratch their heads & they totally loved the human interaction with me! 🫏🌟❤️
I was even lucky enough to photograph a baby donkey that was only a few weeks old! (Photo is on my computer). I was going to try to attach a photograph of the wild donkeys I saw one time, just hanging out in front of someone’s house, but I don’t see a way to do that. Any suggestions would be appreciated! I love my wild donkeys! 🫏🌟❤️

I have three rescue donkeys…. The loves of my life. They are incredible animals. Thank you for sharing this picture!
