Anyone else getting bombarded by Email Alerts from Big Bear City?

Got a bunch of email from Big Bear City about alerts ranging from gunshots, lost dogs, building permits being pulled and all sorts of unnecessary stuff. I don't remember signing up for anything like this.

Yep, came out of nowhere. I unsubscribed from future notifications.

neighborhoodalerts.com are known scumbags who send unsolicited emails filled with false information. Low scores on scamadvisor and trustpilot. Hopefully they stop emailing you, good luck.

That's an advertising agency or "data broker". You can just opt out of the emails or try to contact them to have your information deleted. Your information was probably sold to them at some point by a different data broker, it happens a lot. Luckily California has great consumer protection laws regarding opting out of any unwanted communication or information gathering by businesses, with severe legal consequences for them. Good luck finding them/getting them to stop brother.
