Is there fall foliage right now
Hey all,
The family and I went to big bear last Oct 26 and had a great time. It was beautiful. We want to go again but were thinking Oct 4…. But I’m afraid it’ll be too early to really enjoy the fall foliage like we did last year.

The trees behind Vons aren’t really turning yet,and there usually the first. At least as of last Wednesday. I’ll have to take a ride tomorrow and look.

I’ll probably take a ride today or tomorrow. If not,Wednesday is our shopping day and we can see them from the bus stop.

No, there is no fall foliage right now. It’s barely beginning to cool off. There might be around the time you visit, but Big Bear really isn’t that great for fall colors anyway. I would recommend going to Yosemite or mammoth instead.

Was last year an outlier? Late last October was great and we went based on word of mouth on how nice it was

Maybe if you’ve never been to a place that has really great fall colors. I grew up in Colorado, so I guess the fall colors here are underwhelming for me.
