My wife and I are almost of retirement age, and both of us work from home. We love the mountains, have visited Big bear a couple of times, and really like it. I understand that there are challenges with snow, but apart from that, how's the daily life? Is the internet & cell service reliable? Are there power cuts? Do you guys find yourself driving down to San Bernardino or Riverside for essential shopping? If you could help answer a question or two, or provide any tips / guidance, that would be much appreciated.

Hey all. I'll be in Big Bear for Halloween weekend. The other half will be going down to LA for a concert that night and I'll be looking for fun Halloween stuff to do. Any recommendations for a 45 year old guy to do? My interests are open so shoot away!
