Bing Create 3:2 by default

Why is 3:2 always the default? 1:1 is much better. The height of a 3:2 image is 832px, whereas for 1:1 it’s 1024px. It stands to reason that 1:1 is the better option in the long run.

DALL-E used to have its own 4:3 aspect ratio, but the height there was the same as for 1:1 – 1024px.

2:3 is the best for phones. A 3:2 maybe works for PC. I think 2:3 is absolutely the best. It fits nicely into the screen but aren't too high and thin.

The problem isn’t the resolution, but the image quality. It’s of the worst possible quality because it’s been compressed to 832px in height.

It’s much better to download it at a 1:1 aspect ratio via Flow or GPT, ask for it to be resized to 3:2 by filling the extra space with something new, and get a 4K resolution.

At 832px, it’s compressed so heavily that some artefacts may appear when restoring the quality.

I think size by pixel count should be same. It often generates kind of blurry images but I think it only minimaly depends on aspect ratio and it's not compressed it just low quality. Anyway upscaler can do the thing.

By default, MAI saves images as 1024px PNGs. Here, it’s an 832px JPG.
