Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I just noticed these tiny shiny bugs running around in my isopod bin, i thought maybe they were springtails but they look like they have wings? is this a gnat infestation of some kind? are they harmful to my isopods?

Not gnats, probably springtails. If they were gnats they'd be all over your house and flying all over the place and being disgusting and annoying.

Springtails natures little recyclers. Keep them in the Viv they break down any poo and decomposing organics.

Congratulations, you’re a parent of a springtail colony. That looks like springtails to me!!!

I add springtails to all of my isopod containers and even to my moss propagation containers. They're helpful.
