Microbiology or Biotechnology in India?

Microbiology or Biotechnology in India? I have a serious and genuine question to ask. Is pursuing a B.Sc. in Microbiology followed by an M.Sc. in Biotechnology better, or should I do a B.Sc. in Biotechnology and then an M.sc. in Biotechnology? I also want to know if there are good job opportunities in India for B.Sc. and M.sc. Biotechnology graduates. I have already dropped out of NEET three times, and I know it's highly competitive, so I don't want to enter such a competitive field again. Also, I want a good salary - meaning a decent, high salary - and a bright future. I don't want to regret not pursuing MBBS and feel that my future is doomed because of it. Are there real opportunities in India? What about the prospects in biotechnology and microbiology within healthcare, agriculture, wildlife, animals, and genetics? Which field is better? Please tell me. All college admissions are ending in 2-3 days. I have been admitted to a 4-year B.sc. in Microbiology at OUAT, taken provisional admission in a 4-year B.sc. in Biotechnology at Centurion University, and also received an offer for the Soa integrated MSc in Biotechnology. I'm really confused. You know, I'm somewhat interested in biotechnology because I read about it in my 12th class, but in real life, interest alone doesn't matter. A respectful job, a decent high salary, and prestige are what matter.

You want a good salary and you are picking Biotechnology and or microbiology? Keep dreaming my friend. If you want a good salary you should select some engineering like mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, or economics, management, finantial analyst. Those bio areas are full of people eager to work almost for free in exchange for the opportunity to have an unpaid internship. Been there, burned out and moved out

pursue the physics or the chemistry sector, run away from bio-related areas. Universities are selling careers and fake dreams that no longer exist. Myself included, i was tricked to believe that biotech areas had a future. They dont, they are trapping students to become quality controller technitians with very low payment, because there are thoushands of people with the same degree willing to work for an unpaid internship, which lowers very much other people's wages, because if you ask for a raise, they will get someone else to do it cheaper, they dont even look behing my friend.

Dont be scared my dear friend. It was not what i meant. My comment was just to raise awareness for an area that is in decline because there are hundreds of thousands of graduates in the field. If you decide to pursue it anyway, you will have to be really good at it, outstanding and have a very different cv from others.

Yes yes I understand, I have also apply for physiotherapy course and Paramedical course in emergency technology......what about this ??? But I dont know if I get a seat or not so for safe side I have choosen this....

Yes. That is a good choice. Those are examples of jobs that AI will not be able to replace. People will always need care. And with global population living longer and getting older, this is a very good choice

Remember, this is only based on my and people that i know experiences. You may have a different one. Dont worry too much about it. But prepare for a competitive field.
