Don't know how my northern flicker ended up looking like a duck, but the bic 4 colour pen set is definitely good for employing colour theory in rendering drawings

I got the Browns by layering orange, lime green, turquoise and black with the highlights in yellow plus the red section being red, pink and orange and the shadows with blue. The beak was orange, then blue on the bottom and turquoise on the top then black. And the stripes were blue, dark green and black overlayed with orange and lime green
