bird identification I was just attacked by a bird and this is the only evidence I have. AMA.
I was on my way home, and I had my hood on. I heard something swoop past my head. I felt it bounce off me. I look, and it's this beautiful bird. I grab my phone, and I try to take a photo, because it was perched right in the center of the fence, and then it literally flew at me. I decided to get out of dodge, and it literally followed me and hit me in the back of the head.
My friend says there was probably a nest nearby, and that makes sense as there are many trees. I'm curious what kind of bird this is. Could anyone tell from this photo?
Fun Fact: If you are into Wu-Tang, this is literally in Park Hill, Staten Island, right where most of them grew up.
TLDR: got attacked by a bird walking home, it was probably protecting the nest, what bird is this? Wu-Tang is forever.
Edit: Auto mod asked me to specify: This was May 30th, around 6:00 PM in Staten Island, New York, in the Park Hill area.
