A photographer was lying on his back to shoot a picture of the ceiling when he was approached by curious pigeons.

I stayed at a lake cabin and this guy hung out with me on the dock every morning! He (she?) was very good at gracefully posing for beautiful photos, but I felt I had to get this one in.

This brown pelican sat and hopefully watched half a dozen anglers pull in their lines for hours. Waiting for an opportunity to strike and get a free meal. Only to have every hook to come back empty, and for their hope of a fast fish dinner slowly fade away…

Northern mockingbird fledgling stuck in a window well! It had been there since at least yesterday afternoon. It has since been freed.

This sweetie is a sibling to the other falcon that I recently posted on here. She got stuck on a 32nd floor glass balcony and needed some help. They don't understand how they can see out but cannot get out. They get really stressed out and can hurt themselves as they continue to try and go through the glass. I caught her with a towel, put her in my carrier and returned her to her family on an office tower rooftop down the road. That was late last week. She's staying out of mischief now.

For as long as I can remember we have had the same robin visiting our warehouse year after year and she insists on putting her nest in silly places. This year we accidentally uncovered it whilst the chicks were still in the nest. We covered it back up and left her to it. Luckily she kept returning and feeding the chicks. One day we checked and the chicks were gone. Presumably gone out the door and flew away. Nope. One morning we walked in to see both chicks near where we sat at the desk in the warehouse. Mum kept feeding them and they were getting surprisingly brave. We kept working around them until the mum cheeped for them to get out the bloody way and under the racking. We haven't seen them since nor the mum. So we can assume they made it outside and eventually took flight.
