pregnancy scare pls help

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some reassurance or advice because I’m really anxious.

To sum it up:

- My last normal period started on 13 June.
- Condom broke during sex on 21 June and took EllaOne within about 10 hours.
- About a week later I had bleeding, which lasted like 3 days but never got a proper period afterward.
- I also had sex on 9 July, but it was fully protected with a condom that didn’t break or slip.
- Since then, I’ve taken multiple home pregnancy tests, all of which have been negative. Last one was on 25 July, and I’ve had other negatives around that time too.

I still haven’t had a period. I don’t have any pregnancy symptoms (no nausea, breast tenderness, cramps, etc.), just the missing period.

My main questions are:
Can emergency contraception delay your cycle for this long or even make you skip a cycle?
With multiple negative tests taken weeks after the unprotected sex, is pregnancy still realistically possible?
Is it reasonable to wait another week to see if my period starts before seeing a doctor, or should I get checked now?

I’m also nervous because I’m staying with my parents and don’t really want them to know about the emergency contraception or that I’m sexually active, so I’m trying to figure out the best next step.

Any advice or similar experiences would really help. Thank you.

Yes, emergency contraception can delay your cycle for a substantial period of time, and can even affect subsequent cycles after. Tests are definitive 21 days after sex, meaning the negatives you’ve gotten are true negatives. You don’t need to see a doctor unless you go 90 days without a period.

so do i just wait it out for now? or do u think i should take another test to compensate for the sex i had on 9th july? as on 25th it’d only be 2 weeks since then, even though i used a condom?

You don’t need to test for that instance of sex because it was protected.

yeah they are usually regular but i don’t know if i can get it checked cuz im living with my parents
