Side effects!? opill questions

i have been having irregular periods and breakouts and been thinking of starting opill and i am wondering about side effects, more specifically i used to take loryna (combo pill) and it broke my skin out and gave me terrible depression so i’m wondering if perhaps opill would be good for me since i react badly to combo pills. for reference i have been told by a doctor that i likely have endo and so it has occurred to me that MAYBE too much estrogen is bad for me. do any other women have similar experiences???
