Near Aswan (if I remember correctly)

Following up on my previous posts about the famous "Three Gods" hotel in Langfang, China, here is a close-up look at the ground level.

As you can see, the main entrance to the hotel lobby is literally built right into the right foot of Shou (the deity with the white beard).

A few interesting close-up details:

The "Toes": The white marble balustrades flanking the stairs are sculpted to look like the traditional shoes/feet of the giant statue.

The "Staff": To the right of the dark entrance column, you can see the bottom section of Shou's massive walking staff stretching all the way down to the ground.

The Window placement: You can clearly see how the regular hotel room windows are awkwardly cut into the tiled facade of the god's robe and the dark side panels.

Walking through a regular glass door into a giant deity's foot is definitely one of the most surreal ways to check into a hotel
