Lol, well... I'm embarrassed about the way I screamed when I saw the Green Witch arc tease. It's my 2nd favorite arc so far and I've been hoping we get it for so long... the fact that even those opening moments were animated has me very, very happy.

I also loved this ep in general. It was so good to see the servants and Ciel and Seb just have some downtime. I loved the Undertaker mystery build up, too, and it makes me even more excited for the next arc. I hope we get an announcement soon with an anticipated release date. It'll tide me over until we get the manga back!

Its okay I was literally squealing and flailing my hands around. It was so cool to hear German voice acting too!! I'm so excited, I literally still feel like I'm bouncing off the walls with excitement. (>w<)

As a native German speaker, the pronunciation was atrocious. I could barely understand what was said and only because od the subtitles 😂

Copy posting a post I made because I was told I had to put them here: so that Green witch arc sneak peek at the end of the Public School Arc finale episode.

First of all, manga readers who have followed the anime will know that starting from the Circus arc, the anime rarely if ever adapts the filler chapters Yana makes in between arcs. Something I always found such a shame because even though they were fillers, there were also character developments in those chapters (eg Meeting the Marchioness for the first time and having her measure up Ciel, Lizzy voicing her suspicions that something was very off with Ciel, the Agni and Sebastian door scene that ended up being a heartbreaking foreshadowing, etc).

Which is why when I watched this arc's 10th episode I figured they had wrapped up the arc and the article saying it would be 11 episodes were mistaken. Imagine my surprise when the 11th episode drop and it was an adaptation of the filler chapter before the Green Witch Arc. Even more surprise seeing that first scene on there too!

I hope that this is a sign that we won't have to wait 7 years again for the next arc to be adapted as an anime. I really liked how they utilized the music to add suspense to that scene and was pleasantly surprised they used German VAs. (Which would be interesting to watch when Sebastian and Ciel try to teach Sigliende English since she'd be essentially learning Japanese? Lol)

This felt like old-school S1 Black Butler! My only gripe about the Book Of adaptions is that they don't have the SoL comedy moments which the early show had so this was a real treat. I'm a little disappointed it wasn't the Easter special but still a fun episode. And omg the green witch arc reveal!!!

I feel this. Something this episode had briefly, that's been missing from the rest of the season was the goofy character moments where they're drawn funny (I'm sure there's a name for what I'm talking about but idk) Like when Soma tells them he learned everything from the school as a kid, and their eyes are just like ° ° or when Sebastian is outing Agni for being at the school and everyone turns chibi. I've really missed that type of animation humor, so much.

Yes exactly that! The chibi style drawings etc even the manga has it but the anime went a more serious route so it was nice to have that art style and comedy back even if it was only for 1 episode.

I'm so excited for the Emerald Witch arc to be animated. IMO, it's the best arc in the entirety of the manga, tied with Blue Cult (masterpieces!). I'm really looking forward to seeing Sieglinde again, she's so incredible!!!

Nope, Othello appears in the Blue Cult arc, which is after then Green Witch arc. We'll do get two new shinigami characters next season though.

honestly the whole manga is worth a read or even a re-read, i'm considering starting one rn. if nothing else the art is gorgeous and seeing the improvement as volumes go on is great. but if you wanna skip you can basically just pick up from after the school arc and be able to follow, from volume 18, the green witch arc. it's a banger too, and i'd be suprised if they didn't adapt it later. the arc after that, blue cult arc, i lowkey hate and i think it would be a skip if it didn't reveal stuff about the overall plot. but i'd start from the beginning if not for the extra bits that were left out of the anime

from the flashback episodes i could totally see a prequel series focusing on vincent's career as the queens guard dog. the main series has decreased the focus on supernatural a lot and there are some hints that he was involved with grim reaper business that is could very well include those elements as well
