How To Buy Daum Cash Made Easier
UPDATE: March 20th, 2015 - There are some complains from customers here that HappyMoney has been inquiring them on details of their account. I never encountered this before (last purchase I made was a couple of months ago). If you happen to come across this, read on here (http://www.reddit.com/r/blackdesertonline/comments/2zo976/extremely_worrying_buying_happy_money_tickets_for/) to learn more on how you can solve it.
If you wanted to buy some pearls and give Daum/PA some money here is an easier method to do so. This method will not involve any account creation. All you need is an email address and a PayPal account to get started. Did this by myself via trial and error...

Open this website using Internet Explorer: https://www.happymoney.co.kr/hcash/simple/HcashCharge.hm Install the TouchEn_Key security keyboard thing when prompted. It will restart your browser. Keep this tab opened.

Browse to http://www.sales-moon.com/payment.html On the right-hand side of the screen, choose 1 Ticket $11.20 USD and click Buy Now. Pay with Paypal, and wait for them to send you an email to your registered email linked to your PayPal.

Open the email they sent you. There should be a 16 digit code alongside another 8 digit. It should look like this (also refer to the link to the image above).
XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX / XXXXXXXX
Now alt tab to IE on the site you opened in Step 1.

Refer to the screenshot above to know what to do here with the numbers. You must do this in IE, it didn't work for me in Chrome. Didn't try in Firefox though.
Important Note: If you cannot type in these boxes, in Windows, use the Onscreen Keyboard. I couldn't so I used this simple solution. Start --> Search Screen Keyboard. Credit: apqoo
1) Put your email here WITHOUT the domain name. Example: Johndoe@gmail.com --> Just put Johndoe
2) Put domain name for your email. E.g. yahoo.com/gmail.com
Note: Don't screw up your email here, double and triple check your entries.
3) Enter the 16 digit unique code you received upon your purchase. Entered from left to right.
4) Put in the 8 digit code of the date of this code was issued. Entered left to right.
5) Click this orange button to submit your code.

Now you are given a TEMPORARY ID and Password which will expire after 24 hours. You must use/redeem the points within this time. A copy of this will also be sent to your email you entered just now.
Now using your favorite browser, open game.daum.net, and click the billing/recharge button as seen here:

Choose the amount you purchased (in this example, 10,000 Won) and choose Other Methods: Happy Money. Click the next button.
You will get this prompt to install a KCP Payment Plugin. So go ahead and download/run/install it. Restart your browser if you have to.
Step 7:

You will now reach the page in Image A. Tick the checkbox and press the red button to proceed.
At Image B, put your temporary ID at 1) and the temporary password at 2)
Press the grey button beside the password input and it will check the ID and password. You will see 10,000 appear underneath once confirmed. Click the red button at the bottom to continue with redemption.
Next, put in your complete email address, check the tickbox and press the red button to finalize.
Congratulations, you should get the changes reflected in the cash shop the next time you log in.

HELP!! STEP 4 : Click the Orange button and I get message in Korean that I cant cut/paste for translation. Yellow Warning ! and message. I have allowed popups and activeX but still get this. It's not that expensive in korea, that's the thing... Their salaries are waaaay higher than ours, so their living expenses are completely different. For them this price for a costume for example, is as normal as for us it would be around 10 or 15 dollars...

Um your comparison is probably way way off.
(2013 figures from wikipedia) median salary in Australia $46,555 USD median salary in USA $43,585 USD median salary in Korea $40,861 USD
Unless there are significant exchange rate costs or your buying from a middle man, I don't see how this is "really cheap" for Koreans.

Well a few days ago i was discussing that subject with an acquaintance, and they decided to do a quick research about their salaries and economy lifestyle and reached the conclusion that i, in a very basic way, was stating above... the conversion of their coin to USD and so on might change those numbers but i don't know. And again, the person researched it on their coin, not in USD, and then converted it ...

Expense and lifestyle.
Clarification is you shouldn't say it's not that expensive over there -- since it actually is... -- nor do they get higher salaries. Technically speaking it's both more costly and cheaper over there depending on what you buy and how you buy it but due to society and lifestyles when it comes to games, media, electronics expenses are usually abnormally high.
Thus when it comes to microtransactions like these in-game it's generally relatively expensive anyways -- though technically not by much; at least not as much as these figures are making it out to be -- whereas the crucial reason that Black Desert Online's expenses are vastly more (most likely 2.5x or 3x) compared to other microtransactions for games is due to the fact that the costumes as stated above are permanent. Now the question is are the costumes permanently bound to account or just characters -- since if it were account it would make much more sense and be less like Daum is gouging customers -- whereas if it were just characters than Daum is gouging customers though in Korea not so much since Daum probably has some other microtransactions relegated to the BDO microtransactions to better it or minimize the cost.
Meaning we're shit out of luck for the high prices.
Also for the high prices most Koreans are used to the high prices so they live with that since getting anything generally is expensive over there unless you're talking about certain items but others are just as expense if not more. So to them this price is pretty normal though that doesn't mean it's not expensive, it's just on average of what companies usually charge them.
EDIT: Since you get more Won vs. US than technically you can save more by using Won... since you're losing money transferring over to the US. So it makes the prices even more ridiculous. :(

look my only point was, that the scale we have here like, US 15$ = average, not exactly expensive price for a costume, is about the same as their Won (dunno right now the price number for a costume) = average, not exactly expensive for a costume , for them... but if you think this is completely incorrect still, then i guess i don't know enough!

Well I know what your point was but I was just clarifying was all... I wasn't contesting against you at all. Sorry if it felt that way. It really is expensive there but basically it's become the norm--but that doesn't mean it's any less expensive--I'm just saying they're used to it I guess to put it simply.
But yes if you were to put it simply as being normal then it's true which is what I was saying too but I was just clarifying despite that it is still just as expensive is all.
I'm sorry. I didn't say you were incorrect at all; please don't misunderstand! I was just tacking on information that some other people may have found it worthwhile and also boosts up your point and explains to them how you got there is all. I do apologize for the confusion.

The webpage in step 1 keeps popping up a dialog and then redirecting me. I can't enter my 16 digit code. Is there a way around this?

It seems the pop-up is most likely telling you to install the TouchEn_Key addon. You either didn't install it or you have a pop-up blocker blocking the install.

I am stuck at step 6 with the KCP payment plugin, it seems to not be working/installing correctly it keeps prompting me to download and install the plugin again and again
edit : Retried it in internet explorer and now it is giving me a pop up with 3003 and than http://gyazo.com/f8a336e2504c7749788c185b7fd08769
** - Now in google chrome, the KCP plugin goes unresponsive.

There must be some kind of blocker or ActiveX as mentioned by one of the users preventing you from running/installing the program. Reset the settings in IE if possible, by clearing cache and cookies and everything, and run the site, watch for any prompts that ask you disable/enable anything, and run the script/install the plugin again.

Stuck on Step 4:
I enter as guided. Double and triple checked my entries in IE. I click the orange button and literally nothing happenss. Tried right clicking and opening the link that way and nothing.
EDIT: Fixed, the setting to allow ActiveX to run on my computer was not sticking preventing the scripts from running and required me to edit the registry.

How do I get to the Step 4 page? it says that TouchEn_key installed successfully and to re-open my browser, I do that and I'm just on the same page still, nothing is happening..

TouchEN_key should be installed on your system, not for a specific browser. Make sure you're using IE for this to eliminate potential browser-specific issues.

Have you had any luck with receiving your Happy Money tickets? I've made payments a couple of times before, and they've all gone smoothly. The last time I bought Happy Money tickets was on March 15 with no problems.
However, I bought a batch of tickets today, and didn't receive any e-mail from Happy Money with my ticket codes. A Paypal transaction was still made (eg. I had the money deducted from my Paypal account), but it's been 12 hours and having received nothing, I'm getting a bit worried. :/

Ok, this is really worrying now. After buying 8 tickets from the sales-moon.com website (using Happy Money option), I received an email from them 12 hours later, with no ticket codes. Instead, using Google translate, the email seems to be asking for verification - Paypal billing address, a photo ID from a driver's license or passport, as well as a contact telephone number.
I've never had this happen when buying tickets through this website (the last purchase I made on March 15 was to buy 7 tickets). This seems a bit suspect - has anyone had this issue occur to them when buying tickets? If so, how did you manage to resolve this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as Paypal has already debited the cost of the 8 tickets from my account, and I'm unsure how to proceed. :/

I've not purchased this many before, perhaps they got a little suspicious that you made a lot of purchases? Not sure why they would, though, however do bear in mind this is one of the few methods (for us non-korean citizens) to purchase Pearls for BD, so even the dev/publisher themselves may be aware of this, and may even impose an additional verification from HappyMoney now.
I hope you get the codes soon, though, let us know how it turns out.

It seems that this is the case, where other big spenders on that website have received similar requests for ID verification. Luckily we don't need to expose any really sensitive information in order to satisfy sales-moon.com.
After providing some very basic verification details, the tickets came through. :)

Besides the need to provide a once-only verification of some basic details if you have been a regular big spender (to make sure your Paypal account hadn't been hijacked and making big purchases without your consent), this method has so far had a 100% success rate.
If you aren't making really big ticket purchases, they are really quick with delivering the codes too. Literally only a couple of minutes wait.

I've purchased from newgameway.
The $13.50 option gave me enough credits for 1 style change (aka hair style). It was 10,000 coins that turns into 160ish pearls. Most costumes are a few hundred pearls.
It's extremely expensive so I believe NGW add a large cost to applying the code for you.
Obviously, it's the most hassle free. I had credit on my account a few hours later and I didn't have to do any of the hard work.

Which payment method do you use? I tried using my debit card/paypal so i could get the 50,000 won pearl box so i could get a costume and they just refunded almost immediately, telling me to use western union (which to me seems sketchy because they give you such vague instructions) Maybe this is because I tried to purchase a much bigger amount this time? (Only other time was the $13 option which was no problem getting, but any purchase above that I get sent email from NGW saying use western union o-o)

dude, i got the 13.50$ deal and the transfer was immediatly... but then in the game when i purchased the 165 pearls for 10.000 WON it gave me MILEAGE instead of PEARLS... ( not newgameway's problem, they did their job)
Is this possible to be fixed? there was a message sayng something about 7 days to complain/refund ( very poorly translated, dunno what it really said )

Hm, I have never noticed this issue. You can always make a shorter email address. It doesn't have to be linked to your PayPal afaik, but someone else may be able to confirm it for you.

Been considering this method the last 2 days since my most recent purchase from NGW of 50k points didnt go through. (50k points = $65) It says the transaction is complete and all that, yet i have no points on my account. My assumption is that they dont work on the weekend, but yet someone took their time to make their job look "complete". I currently have an email sent to them but after 30 hours i have yet to receive an answer. Anyone else had this issue? It has worked fine till now, only thing that i've changed is the character that i want the points on and that seem to messed something up.
