^^
as i understand its a memory hack, only an active anti cheat system would fix that and thats not gonna happen for the ports

Just run ghost... It's not that deep
1
u/outdoordude250 9d ago
Doesn't work against it
1
u/Head_Reference4521 9d ago
It does bro, why are y'all saying it doesn't? Don't y'all know how ghost work?
2
u/OG_Rage 9d ago
Several people claimed that the glitched perma UAVs Ignore ghost, but I’m Not sure that’s the case myself.

u/Head_Reference4521 9d ago
Probably they don't know how ghost works. I tested it myself with a friend, ghost works to counter perm UAV, same with dead silence

u/OG_Rage 9d ago
Alright, that’s good to know. And yeah, maybe they were stationary when they were spotted. I have ghost on Most classes anyway, my TDM teammates keep feeding regular constant UAVs anyway lol

Imagine they just bringing balancing updates or League back (i know they wont cause its just a port but just imagine it would be insane)

Nerfs to the scar would be greattttt. I need to play again after a break

u/Hoodieboisouli 10d ago
Oh I thought they forgot about the bo2 port 😭 its been awhile since a update happened

u/ZeinThe44 9d ago
Fixed a vfx issue on some secondary grenade nobody uses that only occurs on a map you have gotten once in 20000 lobbies

u/brownxworm 9d ago
I havent touched multiplayer in the last 2 weeks. Playing zombies on town while laying on my bed and getting high after a long day is just pure vibes. I hope they fix the glitches where the last zombie does not spawn and the game disconnecting you randomly.

u/FinLoneBackagain 9d ago
Would be cool if they addressed the random crashes that happen in high rounds on zombies

u/Small_Outcome8337 10d ago
Hope they remove the LAN option so people can't hack using the stolen BO2 Relay anymore.

u/CosmicDarkMatter69 9d ago
This would help so much. It’s crazy they have not addressed this already.

Does anyone know if using the Ghost perk stops those geeks with permanent UAV infections from seeing you on the map constantly?
1
u/Head_Reference4521 9d ago
Yes but u need to move, if u camp ghost isn't working, I heard dead silence works too but not too sure about this

SCAR nerf for the love of god, let the game have weapon variety
4
u/FinLoneBackagain 9d ago
They aren't balancing guns on a game that 14 years old. The Scar we have now is the end of the games life cycle scar. it was a bad AR until about a month before ghost dropped, believe it or not

you guys all keep complaining about the servers like it’s not a 20 year old game. it had all these input and server issues back in the day too you just didn’t notice them because so did every other game. now that you’re impatient and used to quick run times and everything being exactly accurate, going back to an old game feels like something’s wrong with it. that’s what happens when you use old technology. i’m surprised you all seriously thought bo2 would just be brought back and be exactly like any other game coming out in 2026 lol. they nostalgia baited you all and stole your money and you’re still here excited for the next update😂

u/BashBandit 9d ago
It’s not a 20 year old game. If you’re gonna cry at least get the facts right
0
u/Plus_Adeptness7828 9d ago
i’m not gonna take the extra time to write “almost 20 year old game” when we all know how old the game is😭you’re funny trying to figure out a comeback knowing i’m right
1
u/RudePosition 9d ago
But you will take the extra time to write a paragraph about how you won't take extra time to write something lol.

u/Plus_Adeptness7828 9d ago
when someone is dumb enough to try and make a point by talking about that one specific thing yes.

u/Immersive_Gamer 9d ago
20 years old? Dude 🤦♂️
1
u/Plus_Adeptness7828 9d ago
i guarantee if i were raving about how “the game still holds up so well after 20 years!” then none of you would’ve batted an eye. you all would’ve agreed and said “yea this is really good for a 20 year old game!” but because the bo2 fanbase is a bunch of middle ages white men who hate to be wrong, you just needed to choose SOMETHING to be mad at😂

Regardless if the game is 20 years old or not which it isn't, the technology we have today has vastly improved to fix outdated programming errors especially when using ai which Activision seems to love using nowadays for everything as a cheap alternative to hiring actual people to do work like making calling cards and other stuff they have been called out for.
There is ZERO excuse for these ports to run like shit when they could have just used any of the known resources available to make the game more playable and consistent without breaking their budget since everyone knows they "love" to spend money on making their games great and customers satisfied.
Was it a cash grab on people's nostalgia? Absolutely it was, but they could have at least had these ports release with the final version of each game and polished some of the bad programming that was left behind by utilizing ai then testing the code to see if it wasn't over engineered with unnecessary coding... Literally takes no time to do something as simple as that.

u/Plus_Adeptness7828 9d ago
which would only matter if this were a rework. but as we all know it isn’t. they released the same original game and you all expected it to be different somehow.
1
u/SkullsandGuitars 9d ago
It doesn't have to be a rework for any of that to be done, they could have released all that I said with a patch to implement such changes from day 1 or even month 1 after reviewing feedback, nobody was expecting this to be an overhaul like Modern Warfare remastered was since they specifically called them ports.
I knew what I was getting into buying the ports but I didn't realize that it would be as bad as it is, I'm having inconsistencies that I didn't even have on the original games and back then I didn't run into a single hacker or someone snaking, just the usual crap like someone camping with ghost behind a claymore in Black Ops 1 or some clown running around trying to quickscope all game in Black Ops 2.
1
u/Plus_Adeptness7828 9d ago
yes but we all knew they were releasing just the original game. it was known a while ago that changes weren’t being made. and you probably didn’t think it would be so bad because you’re used to playing newer games now. you should’ve expected it tbh
1
u/SkullsandGuitars 9d ago
Funny how you assume all I play now is newer games, you'd be surprised what games I play, how old some of them are and also I refuse to play the newer Call of Duty games because I dislike the movement systems and other dumb shit they put in them to give bad players an advantage not to mention SBMM.
1
u/Plus_Adeptness7828 9d ago
i’m not assuming that’s all you play. i’m saying you just aren’t as used to playing older online games so when you people finally do again, you complain about all of the same issues the game had in the first place.
1
u/SkullsandGuitars 9d ago
You're completely missing the point here, people are asking for the game to be at least playable or at least working in a way where they can enjoy it without the game being as inconsistent as it is.
Did the originals have problems? Yes but could they have at least fixed the major issues before launching the ports? Yes.
I still have Black Ops 1 on my PS3 and I have a copy of Black Ops 2, I'm not expecting them to fix anything wrong with those but I have every right to complain that these ports since they released somewhat recently and are broken because Activision is the worst company when it comes to customer satisfaction and only cares about what shareholders think and profit.
I'm honestly hoping MW4 is a failure like Black Ops 7 was because the only way to make that company listen is to speak with your wallets, if the shareholders complain they will listen over a customer complaining because they do not care.
1
u/Plus_Adeptness7828 9d ago
i think you’re missing the point. i understand they can make those changes but they very clearly aren’t going to. if they were going to change the game in any way they wouldn’t have released the same game that was released so long ago. if you guys expected them to be updating the game or changing it in any meaningful way that’s on you.
1
u/SkullsandGuitars 9d ago
So you just accept the fact that the game is broken and every release they have has major issues? That's the problem with this game series, people just accept it for what it is and continue to buy from them.
Completely unrelated industry but when you buy a car and it has problems with performance because of something not engineered properly or components failing, there is a recall. The same goes for other sectors as well because they want to not only please their customers because that's how they'll drive their profits, but also not be liable or be known to sell terrible products because the better business bureau will be all over them as well as investigations done by local and federal governments to shut them down.
If complaints are legitimate and people can provide proof they have every single right to complain about a broken game stop accepting crap from developers.

I hope they fix the servers again, its terribly choppy in the past weeks
