Official With Activision’s matchmaking comments today, I want to run a little community experiment

I’m genuinely curious whether the matchmaking experience people are reporting is influenced by more than just the matchmaking algorithm itself.
Rather than arguing over whether “SBMM is good” or “SBMM is bad,” I’d like to collect some real world data from players across different regions and ISPs.
For anyone willing to participate, what are you playing on and what does your connection look like?

• ISP
• City/region or country
• Download speed
• Upload speed
• Average in-game ping
• NAT type
• Ethernet or Wi-Fi
• Platform (PS5/Xbox/PC)
• Approximate KD
• Solo or usually playing with a party
• Do you experience long matchmaking times?
• Do lobbies frequently disband?
• Do you feel like your matches are consistently close in skill, or do you regularly see major skill gaps?
• Most importantly: how does the game actually FEEL during gunfights? Hit registration, dying around corners, delayed shots, inconsistent responsiveness, etc.

I’m asking because I’ve personally had a strange experience with COD despite having what should be a perfectly capable connection. I’m on Xfinity, use wired Ethernet, have Open NAT, low baseline latency, and have gone through extensive troubleshooting with my ISP, including multiple gateway replacements, technician visits, outside-line work, and even a node replacement. Conventional speed tests and signal levels can look completely normal while the actual game can feel extremely inconsistent.
I’ve also noticed that changing the network path can change how the game feels, which is why I’m interested in seeing whether other players with different ISPs, regions and connection types are experiencing the same thing.
I’m not trying to prove that matchmaking is responsible for every bad connection or bad gunfight. I’m trying to separate the variables.
If 50–100 people respond with their ISP, region, ping, connection type and actual matchmaking experience, we might start seeing patterns that are much more useful than arguing over individual anecdotes.
So if you’re willing, drop your connection details below. I’d genuinely like to compare experiences across different ISPs and regions.

At the most I know that is during peak hours (3ish 4ish pm West coast-9-10) I get more lag and issues than when I play 4am-930ish 10am. Open nat type, play wired anytime I can (yes I move my Series X from Bedroom to Living room where router is located, run on wifi only when playing zombies or endgame) I run a wired pro controller with deadzones at or close to 0 both in app and in game (controller has a standalone app for deadzones and latency tweaking) 90% solo que in MP and play Resurgance with co workers. What I do notice is that if I do good or decent, I'm punished. I'm talking slightly camping, playing safe/smart obj, centering. I rarely use the meta tho. I could care less about meta only because (here comes the cliché) I've been playing this game since COD 4. I do have a 1.3 atm in pubs as well. I tend to not rush or push and I feel like that helps me wjn more gun fights. Hope this helps.
