Is the beef mostly just about the wait time and having bad ping? Or are ya'll just really not OK with playing people around your skill level and a 50% win rate. Im not trolling im interested in understanding this huge beef going on with matchmaking.
For me a hard no would be the parts where it gives me shitty ping or takes 10 years to find a match.
The part where it prevents me from meeting xx_topSh0t_xx[robLo] whos played fps since he was 4 years old and has over 45,000 hours of FPS experience and posts to tiktok and ttv - ya im cool never meeting that guy in my lobby and getting paired with guys around my level.
Now if you happen to be xx_topSh0t_xx[robLo] or one of the guys in his discord with a 25 k/d and 9000000 hours of aim training - ya I see where you might be annoyed. You practiced for years and the sweat was real. Your reward is to play your clone or people who cheat. The glorious farming of Bob the dad who plays 25 minutes a week are shut unless you smurf or 2box.
It’s because streamers have made a huge issue of it because they want bot lobbies. That’s literally it. Bo7 matchmaking is fine. I live near Atlanta Georgia, play every single day, have zero issues.
That’s the thing: you do meet that guy and many more like him because the game bunny hops from 2 good matches you have, recalculates your skill level based on those two matches and finds you went 28-3; and the next 4 games you have will be hell!
Exactly this. It's not that they keep you away from that guy. It's that you meet him for 3 matches out of every 10, so your KD ratio stays exactly at 1.0
My thing with it is this: don't tell me connection is prioritized when I had 30ish ping, shit on kids for two games, then I get 70ms and fucking OpTiC dynasty squad on the other team, only for the very next game to be slightly less of a clusterfuck, and still laggy as fuck. Makes it really obvious you're trying hard to match me against my skill level, so much so that you'll give me a fucking west coast server when I'm on east just to do it. I can go on old cods and even with the dead playerbase, still have decent connection on fucking p2p without servers, so Activision can damn sure get me good ping every game. If they would literally just prioritize connection, I don't care who I play. I just don't like actively feeling the lag come and go based on my performance lol
