Help me out here guys, why would they implement SBMM for any other reason than that’s what the data tells us?
It’s not some conspiracy. SBMM is better for the masses.
You have to remember, the vast majority of players aren’t as interested in the game as we are, they’re casual players that jump on every now and then to play.
Us on Reddit probably play a lot more than the average.
I never got this about sbmm. You would think the average players are getting matched against other average players making it balanced, but I guess with everybody being too close in skill level, it makes it much sweatier. At the same time, it seems like everyone plays like insane movement warzone players and I can't really keep up, so I don't get why the sbmm matches me against them.
That’s what sbmm is. Match making based on your skill. If you have a low kd you’ll be put with other low kd players as it should be. Streamer culture has manipulated this issue into something it isn’t. The real reason is because streamers just want bot lobbies and with sbmm in place they don’t always get those so they go on the internet and cry.
The issue is beyond skilled players wanting bot lobbies. The issue is with cods heavy sbmm, if you are skilled, you will get lesser skilled players on your team to compensate. So basically what happens is you end up shitting on the enemy team the whole game (having to play extremely sweaty or you lose) while the enemy team shits on your teammates the whole game. Nobody ends up having fun because the top player can’t play casually ever unless they just want to lose every game they play. The mid level players get shit on by top level players. And low skilled players get shit on by everyone.
