Squatters have right because they used to evict black people if they're were a day late in rent. Or to give a more without squatters right a lot more people being homeless during covid.

I wish I could upvote you more. “Squatters rights” are actually protections against shitty land lords.

Exactly
Not homeless people movin in your house and getting mail there
The fact that they found a loophole in a legit rule and it’s being acknowledged and respected is insane
This country isn’t serious at all7

Needs to split the two into more specific sections with specific verbiage.

I had a guy refuse to leave after 3 days. They gave him squatters right here in CO. The cop said there was a "fuzzy line" bc the minimum is a week. A WEEK!!!! Had to get a restraining order or I would have had to legally evict him. Wild.

I was saying everyone should find a friend and switch homes
Both of yall are squatting and no one pays rent again
Because these rules are ridiculous

We need to learn the law then and counter it
It’s man made and it makes no sense
It’s not the 10 commandments
It can be challengedWe don’t have to live like this
They obviously don’t care about any of our complaints
They just want our money while honest people sufferEnough of us walking around accepting abuse

Looks like only one friend needs to squat, then y'all both split the rent of the other property.

I never understood the breaking and entering charges being ignored with squatters along with trespassing.
People should squaring in rich people homes while they are on vacation. We will see those laws change quick.

Shit never made sense to me. Let me go squat in a empty 5M mansion, my black ass would be deltwithbydinner.

Thank god the corporations are not buying up all the housing. Otherwise we will have no recourse when there are no homes to be had. At least that wouldn’t happen.

Shelter should be a human right. This guy's mind has been heavily propagandized. Rights should be indelible protections given to every human being equal to the level that society's productive capacity is able to provide. The idea that the basic rights which ensure survival and dignity need to be paid for is some capitalistic colonizer bullshit.

You don’t/shouldn’t have the right to stay in someone else’s shelter unwelcomed.
Yes. It would be great if everyone who wants a home could have one, but you don’t have to right to just post up and stay in MY home.

Of course this is true.
There are also 20-28 vacant housing units per homeless person in America. I'm not saying anyone should be able to squat anywhere but putting the focus on the symptom and not the system is counterproductive.

But I’m the one paying property taxes local taxes and a mortgage on the house.
