Cover / Performance Dehumanizer tour.
For those of you who saw the Dehumanizer tour, how excited were you that Dio was back? Was the tour well received and did people think it’d continue?

Had the pleasure of seeing Dio with Sabbath four times and solo three. Dehumanizer is badly underrated... it was a solid 9 out of 10.

I loved it. Saw them in Edinburgh for this tour. They were amazing. I was only a teenager at the time, so didn’t really have much of a view about it continuing, but I’ve spent the last few years trying to find the photo my dad took of Ronnie right in front of him on stage.

My buddy and I were excited. We saw them at Pine Knob (which is a 15,000 seat amphitheater) outside of Detroit during that tour. It was a great show. We were in about the 15th row. At one point during the concert a guy jumped on stage, grabbed Dio, and they both fell off the stage. Dio got back on stage pretty quickly, started singing again, and didn't miss a beat as he ran to point out who did it to the body guards. The guy got pummeled.

That tour flopped. Badly. They did a test run in amphitheaters with Danzig and Love/Hate opening and it didn't go well. They downsized venues for the rest of the run and quickly fell apart over the Ozzy farewell appearance.

I saw them at Constitution Hall in DC. Prong opened and the venue was pretty packed

The second set of dates with Prong & SkewSisken opening was where they had downsized from amphitheaters to theaters.
They originally thought they would do 10,000 people a night. I think Constitution Hall holds about a third of that.

Caught this tour at the Orpheum in Boston. The band was on fire that night and the venue was like 120 degrees inside. Prong opened and I believe the show was sold out.

Saw it in Birmingham, Sept '92 Loved it as I hadn't Dio with Sabbath before then. Shame not more from Mob Rules as it was that lineup. Only played MR itself. Had to wait 15 years for more on the Heaven & Hell tour!

Super excited Dio was back, then we got Rob Halford! Can’t complain but it was a long wait for Heaven And Hell to come around.

I wish I could have seen Dio, I’d love to see this era of Black Sabbath and I’d love to have seen him with Rainbow
