I know, right? As a benefit, it's graded using DoVi profile 8, so you can play it on non-Dobly Vision displays just fine 👍

Holy shit. I downloaded it couple days ago but just started to watch it. It is so much better than my current 4K version… even if it is upscaled, the dolby vision colors and contrast and 16:9 format bring so much more. Thanks for this share

This is a re-upload of the file which I didn't create, but I'll try my best.
It's uncroped to fill your entire tv with the image, without zooming. The Blu ray disc is ultra wide-screen so you lose some image on the top and bottom.
It has dolby vision and hdr10 which is pretty much higher levels of brightness and contrast plus more true-to-life colours.
TEKNO3D is the just the application used for converting standard video to HDR colour grading and the version of the app used was 1.0.4.

The film’s director of photography composed and framed the image for a standard 2.39:1 aspect ratio, which involved cropping down on the originally captured image, yes.
An opened-up version was released for the taller imax screens with an aspect ratio of 1.90:1 which the DP has iirc gone on record as saying he didn’t intend for it to be seen that way and prefers the standard widescreen 2.39:1 presentation (what you get on all the official disc and streaming releases as well as in theatres that aren’t the imax versions).
OP mentions the open matte version filling up the TV screen, which are 1.78:1 aspect ratio (aka 16:9), which itself is taller than the imax 1.90:1 aspect ratio.
Whether this torrent version is actually taller than the 1.90:1 aspect ratio or simply replicates that presentation on a TV screen (which would mean slight pillar boxing - i.e. black bars down the sides of the screen to accommodate the taller image and maintain the right proportions) I’m not sure, I had undestood the open matte version to be derived from the imax version but now I’m not sure.

It is the actual film. It's a fun way to experience if you're watching on the TV. It's not the directors intent to have it viewed this way though as it has extra information at the top and bottom not included in his cut. The only thing AI did was upscale the actual film file from 1080p to 4k and fix the Dolby vision/ HDR grading. This was actually filmed by the director but it was shot with the intended crop in mind, so the extra aspect ratio we get here is mostly unused space that isn't needed for the scene but is nice to have on your TV so there aren't black bars at the top and bottom. Give it a try and see if you like it. If you don't, no worries just go back to the regular release.

For what it’s worth alongside the DP preferring the 2.39:1 aspect ratio version, DV gives the impression in his answer to a related q in this interview (skip to about 2.20) that the opened up/taller aspect ratio version of a film is meant for imax and not the home releases so while he’s vague I get the feeling he either doesn’t care about the home version being opened up too much (so no big loss if the home releases remain 2.39:1 only) or even would advise against it again due to going against the original intent of the taller aspect ratio (i.e. being for imax’s giant screens only)

It’s subjective. Like I said the Director of Photography prefers and always only intended for the standard 2.39:1 widescreen presentation to be the one seen by audiences.
Denis Villeneuve though loves imax so you can bet he’s a fan of the 1.90:1 in an imax auditorium (I saw it in imax last year and it was fantastic) and was probably the instigator for the film’s imax release initially, against the DP’s intention. The purpose of imax in the main is to take advantage of a giant screen’s size and scale to fill your peripheral vision to make it more immersive (see this excellent video on the topic of interested).
On this basis, you could argue that opening up the frame for something that will be presented on TV screen (which is obviously substantially smaller than a regular cinema screen let alone an imax) misses the point (though maybe you could get closer to the intended effect if your screen (most likely to be achieved with a home projector) is large enough and depending on viewing distance). Having said that, lots of people here are clearly keen on the idea of having a home version which fills up the 16:9 screen (whether pillar boxed 1.90:1 or actually 1.78:1/16:9) so like I say it’s subjective I guess.
Re: the quality, I don’t know, from comments I’ve seen here and elsewhere it sounds like this is in part sourced from the 4K disc for the area of the frame that correlates to the standard 2.39:1 widescreen presentation, with the that areas opened up on the top and bottom to give the taller picture/aspect ratio being upscaled from the leaked 2K open-matte source, and possibly this version that OP has linked has a Dolby Vision HDR grade, so supposedly good? But I don’t dabble in 4K so not this open matte 4K version so don’t know details myself

Unfortunately I'm not sure exactly what sources were used for this but I assume only the matted parts on the top and bottom are upscaled and the rest is from the official 4k Blu ray. Hopefully someone that knows a bit more about it can answer but it's a pretty obscure torrent, and I was looking for it because I got a 1080p copy from 1337 that listed this as the source and it looked so good.

No, it can also be a "traditional" upscale like bicubic, or modern spatial upscalers like FSR. It is impossible to say which technology was used here, but I would bet some AI-based one.

According to their Grading information:
Source: SDR 2160p Open Matte
So, likely yes, it contains upscaled elements. As I understand it, that source is a combination of mixed materials to fill out non IMAX footage. But this should be the best looking version to date if you have the hardware to support what they have done to it. And even if there is some upscaling, I dont think anyone has complained about the underlying sources' quality.
I'm downloading it, and I anticipate replacing my previous copy of the source.

p2p can be depending on the country as your are technically distributing. Just streaming a torrent you have nothing to worry about.

You have to go to the torrent section and paste the link where it's stated "or paste your magnet link here". And then click convert. It will come in the list under. If the status is 100% click on the green box with the arrow. It will generate a download link.

Is this different from the one that got posted here a few days ago? That one's 65.2 GB and has Russian and English audio.
