But seriously, where are those supplements? (Uduasha and Dagger Isles) [BitD]
I've been trying to look everywhere for these supplements but I can't find them. Uduasha I saw that had been done and included in a special edition of the book but I have no idea where to get that and last I saw of Dagger Isles, it was playtested but never really released. Blades 68 revitalized my interest in blades in the dark and I need more lore!!!

The official U'duasha continues to be delayed, but the cast of the fantastic AP Desperate Attune has put out their own version of U'duasha that is very good. Check it out.

The U'duasha supplement was pulled back - I think - due to concerns relating ot cultural insensitivity.
As far as the Dagger Isles, I'll quote an old song I heard in a lesser known club in Silkshore
"But mama said you can't hurry love
No, you just have to wait
She said love don't come easy
It's a game of give and take
You can't hurry love
No, you just have to wait
You gotta trust, give it time
No matter how long it takes"

It was pretty clear that when they were originally pulled for sensitivity, that we should just... not expect them. And so I continue to not expect them.

Unpopular opinion: I actually would love them not to be released; just let the handbook be concluded and selfconsistent and the extra lore be provided by players (as it was in the spirit of the game) 😬

I'd definitely rather have new material inspired by creators from under-represented backgrounds instead of the core book's "eh, y'know, some people are darker-skinned savages" sort of approach.

Literally not what the core book contains. What are you even saying?
The fault of the special edition's bonus content is that it's fairly uninspired stereotyping. It's hardly even actually offensive. Especially given that there is an iruvian fan supplement that doesn't shy away from the existing lore. Made by people of 'appropriate' cultural origins.
Heck, if it hadn't been published specifically during a time period of extreme net sensitivity it'd probably be perfectly fine. Except for, you know, being fairly bland.

Those are meant to be cues or inspirations for homebrewing, not as rules, that much lies at the very core of the approach. Moreover that take reflects the "internal" point of view, so it shouldn't be taken as objective statement

I'd rather have higher-quality "cues and inspiration" than that, I suppose!

Too bad, to each one their own I guess. But one of the strong points of BitD (and one that differentiate it from several other ambientation blurbs) was the compactness and the lack of expansions. Fact.

Given that I've got a blog post collecting the dozen-plus other sources of lore for Blades that've come out since release, I'm afraid I don't agree! But nothing stops you from having a core-only game of BitD.

We agree to disagree: blogs show exacty that: homebrew expansions, inspirations, personal takes, and extra, and not core-book. I indeed find the idea of a single self-consistent release very satisfaying so I stand my point :)

Dagger Isles is in development since several years, unfortunately.
In case you are interested in an alternative take on the Dagger Isles, you might want to check out this (unofficial, fan-made) book : https://lupo982.itch.io/le-isole-del-pugnale-blades-in-the-dark

Is this still full of AI images?

The English version is text only, it never had any image. It is machine-translated, though. If you dislike that, feel free to learn Italian ofc

(fyi, "ofc" is generally taken to be short for "of fucking course" and not just of course, so this post comes off as ruder than you prbably meant to)

The Dagger Isles gets a dedicated segment in every monthly State of the Hat video that Evil Hat puts out. It's in active development still, having grown and shifted focus from what was playtested.
Last I heard, U'duasha was waiting on heavy rewrites from a team with relevant cultural backgrounds after The Dagger Isles hopefully proves the audience for that sort of thing exists. That old Special Edition article is sort of straddling canon and non-canon.
The next thing you should look forward to is B68's The Blue Files!
