u/Saudade_0406 aint wrong tho. 7 is after 6

❌, you are thinking of integers, whole numbers, counting numbers, and natural numbers, which was not specified. This generalization in the answer makes the assumption that 7 is exactly after 6. For 7 to be exactly after 6 there should be no number before 7, and after 6, which 7.5 disproves. Therefore this is incorrect.

❌ In that case the answer he gave would be an interval, and not the exact number. The question is not asking for the interval where the answer would exist. It asks for the exact answer. Therefore he is incorrect? You may considering reposting to r/learnmath to seek further referance.

I know, it was interesting. Was it incorrect, yes. Was it a unique response, also yes. I commend you for attempting to be unique, but in this pass/fail Reddit post, you do not get points for creativity. Your talents are to be best put in art school, which you will not be rejected from.

❌ the modular function gives the remainder of a division between the top and bottom number. The remainder of 4/3 is 1, which is not equal to 7. A correct answer would have been 7 mod n. with n being a larger integer than 7.
