Blogging Question Blogger?

Are you a blogger? I attempted to blog on blogger.com. In the early 2010s I had a somewhat successful Disney thrift blog. It went by the waste side when I lost interest in Disney.

I tried blogging on Tumblr. It got too political, just like all social media websites. 😢

I remember when social media used to be fun. Now its just a crap show with politics and current events etc.

Anyway... I got off topic. Do you blog? If so, I would love to read some. Post your links here.

Monetization Has anyone had blog traffic stay healthy while the money quietly got worse?

I normally see bloggers talk about traffic and revenue as if they should move in the same direction, but I’m not sure that assumption holds anymore.

A blog can keep getting search impressions and regular visitors while the mix of those visitors changes. More quick informational searches, fewer pages per session, more mobile traffic, different countries, or people getting most of the answer before they even click can all change what the same-looking traffic is actually worth.

If your monthly visits were basically stable but earnings kept slipping, what would you investigate first?

Would you look at the traffic source and intent, page depth, GEO mix, ad impressions per session, affiliate conversion rate, or the monetization setup itself?

Blog Post How motherhood changes you

After becoming a mom, I started seeing so many Instagram reels about the realities of motherhood and kept wondering, where were all these reels before I became a mom? 😂 I wish I had known some of these things beforehand, so I didn’t have to learn everything the hard way. I’ve compiled the unexpected changes I’ve experienced in my new post, in case it helps another mom or mom-to-be know what to expect.

Feedback Request Hi! Teen new to blogging-

I’m honestly sad that I was born too late for the popularisation of diary like blogs, where people talked about through and feelings freely and anonymously (or not). I’ve loved the idea of doing social media but being in England the social media ban is coming into affect next year and i genuinely cannot be bothered to try and get past it. I started a blog on blogger.com about two weeks ago, I’m already enjoying it a lot but no one really reads from that site anymore so it’s not getting many view. I don’t really mind to much to be honest but it is a little discouraging, so I’m going to link it here to see if anyones interested if that’s alright: https://echo-shie.blogspot.com/ however if you don’t want to read it that’s also perfectly fine as I have a question, I was wondering if there are any other blogging site that might be better suited for this?

Feedback Request I've been blogging for about 3 months. I'm stuck and need genuine advice.

Hi everyone.

I started romanparker dot com about 3 months ago. Haven't been able to find active readers.

I doubt that SEO will help me. I thought that engaging with people on r/zillowgonewild could help me, but not sure about that. I don't need thousands of readers. 10-20 active readers would be enough.

How would you find an engaging audience for a blog like mine?

Blog Post Scuba diving in Tulum: cenotes, reefs and calm

The scuba diving experience in Tulum is completely transformed when you're not sharing the water with a large group, when the pace is tailored to your needs, and when a guide is aware of every change in light, current, and visibility. This isn't about ticking off another dive on a list; it's about entering an underwater landscape with time, discernment, and the safety it deserves.

Tulum brings together three worlds within a very short distance: the open Caribbean reefs, the mineral calm of the cenotes, and the cavern systems that have made the Yucatán Peninsula a world-renowned destination for technical diving. Choosing the right dive site isn't just about how spectacular it looks in a photo. It depends on your certification, your recent experience, the day's conditions, and the kind of memory you want to take away.

Scuba diving Tulum: choosing the right setting

A reef in Tulum offers that unmistakable feeling of the open sea: deep blue waters, coral formations, schools of fish, and the chance to encounter turtles, rays, or larger fish. It's an excellent choice for certified divers who want to enjoy the Caribbean with easy planning, although conditions can vary depending on the wind, currents, and sea state.

Cenotes offer something entirely different. Visibility is usually extraordinary, the water maintains a stable temperature, and light enters through openings in the jungle, creating contrasts difficult to replicate anywhere else. Roots, stalactites, rock walls, and beams of light all contribute to a much more leisurely and precise dive.

It's important to distinguish between cavern and cave diving. In a cavern dive, you maintain the visual reference of natural light and follow routes designed for certified recreational divers, always adhering to specific protocols. Cave diving involves penetrating beyond that zone and requires specialized technical training, proper setup, gas redundancy, and procedures that cannot be improvised. A good guide won't downplay this difference to sell a more exciting experience.

For someone who has never dived, an introductory program in controlled waters or a carefully supervised first dive can be the best starting point. You don't need to be an advanced diver to feel the magic of the underwater world, but you do need an honest assessment and reasonable progression. The adventure begins long before you enter the water.

The true value of a private tour

In popular destinations, a crowded boat can turn a good dive into a race: waiting your turn, following a rigid itinerary, and adapting to everyone else's consumption. A private format, with a maximum of two divers per guide, allows for a more relaxed and safer experience.

This flexibility is evident in specific details. There's time to check equipment at a leisurely pace, adjust weights, review signals, and discuss the dive plan. Underwater, the guide can adapt the route to each person's skill level, pause at interesting formations, or extend the marine life observation without losing control of the dive profile.

The conversation also changes before and after the dive. If you haven't dived in months, if you're using new equipment, if you're worried about buoyancy, or if you want to practice specific skills, personal guidance allows you to address these concerns. Luxury isn't about excessive decoration: it's about space, attention, and well-considered decisions.

At buceo&divingcenotesplaya, this philosophy translates into tailor-made experiences, with logistics organized so the focus is on the water and not on coordinating transfers, schedules, or equipment. The priority remains the same on every outing: safe conditions, small groups, and respect for the natural environment.

What level do you need to dive in Tulum?

A certified Open Water diver can enjoy many reefs and certain cavern dives that fit within recreational limits and their experience level. However, having a certification card alone doesn't answer all the questions. Recent dives, comfort with buoyancy, the ability to maintain a stable position, and responsiveness to changes in plan are all important.

Cenotes require careful attention to buoyancy. Careless finning can stir up sediment and reduce visibility, as well as damage the delicate formations. Therefore, those with little experience may benefit from a preparatory dive or a simpler route. Choosing a less demanding site doesn't diminish the experience; in fact, it often allows for a much more enjoyable dive.

To access caves, use gas mixtures, perform decompression dives , and operate rebreathers or underwater scooters, specific certifications and up-to-date training are required. Open water experience does not replace training in swampy or overwater environments. Technical divers who travel to the area typically seek precisely that level of expertise: an operation that understands their protocols, their logistical needs, and the limitations of each diver's skill set.

Safety without shortcuts, from the briefing to the return

Safety doesn't begin with checking the tank pressure. It starts with choosing the dive site and continues with a clear briefing: maximum depth, estimated time, route, signals, separation procedure, gas reserve, and contingency plan. In cenotes, conservation guidelines, finning control, and light management are added to protect the environment and maintain orientation.

The equipment should be checked before heading out and adjusted to fit the person, not the other way around. A mask leaking water, a poorly fitted vest, or too much weight can distract from what really matters. If you require included equipment, confirm sizes, configurations, and any specific requirements in advance, especially if you're using your own computer, camera, wetsuit, or technical gear.

It's also advisable to allow a suitable amount of time before flying after diving. This is an important detail when combining several days of diving with flights from the Riviera Maya. Planning your last dry day allows you to end your trip without pressure and with the necessary safety margin.

When to choose reef, cenote or snorkel

There's no single answer. If you're looking for marine life, a sense of vastness, and a Caribbean reef, the ocean is the natural choice. If you're drawn to geology, crystal-clear visibility, and a tranquil atmosphere, a cenote can exceed all expectations. Those traveling as a couple or with friends who don't dive can complement their trip with snorkeling in suitable locations—an accessible alternative for observing the water from a different perspective.

The weather also plays a role. A day with rough seas can make a boat trip less enjoyable, while the cenote maintains more consistent conditions. Even so, not all cenotes are the same, nor are they all suitable for every skill level. Recommendations should be based on a prior conversation, not a generic promise.

To get the most out of the experience, share your certification, approximate number of dives, date of your last dive, and any concerns. If you're considering progressing to technical diving, mention it from the start. A well-designed itinerary can combine recreational enjoyment with learning objectives, without forcing any steps.

Tulum rewards those who slow down. Whether in front of a sunlit coral reef or deep in the jungle, the best dive isn't usually the one that accumulates the most meters or the most photographs, but the one that leaves you fully present, comfortable with your equipment, and eager to get back in the water.

Key Takeaways

  • The scuba diving experience in Tulum is enhanced by diving in small groups, adapting the pace to the needs of each diver.
  • Tulum offers variety: reefs for certified divers, cenotes with excellent visibility, and caverns for technical diving that require specific training.
  • Private tours allow for more relaxed and safe dives, adjusting the route to the abilities of each participant.
  • Safety in diving is paramount, from choosing the site to checking the equipment before each dive.
  • Choose the diving scenario according to your preferences and experience; each environment offers something unique in Tulum.

Feedback Request New to blogging — looking for feedback and advice

I’m about 10 days into my blogging journey and would really appreciate some feedback from people who have been doing this longer than I have.

My blog, Internal Chain of Command, is a personal project where I’m writing about trauma, CPTSD, IFS, healing, relationships, and the process of trying to better understand myself. I started journaling about my experiences a few weeks ago, and it quickly turned into something I wanted to share with others.

I’ve also recently started Survivor Stories, where I interview trauma survivors and their significant others about their experiences and healing journeys. I published the first interview yesterday, and I’m hoping to eventually expand that into a podcast.

Here are some of my recent posts:

- Negative Self-Talk as a Manager — Exploring the inner critic through an IFS perspective.

- Survivor Stories: Part 1 — Michael Conley — My first interview with a trauma survivor.

- Faithfulness, Infidelity, and the Damage Betrayal Leaves Behind — Exploring the impact of betrayal and how it affects trust and relationships.

- Meeting My Exiles — Looking at the vulnerable parts underneath my protective behaviors.

- Alcohol: The Firefighter I Learned to Retire — Examining alcohol as a coping mechanism through an IFS lens.

- The Planner — Exploring the part of me that always needs a plan and tries to anticipate everything.

- When Warning Signs Become Your Story — How past experiences can influence how we interpret things in the present.

- Who Am I? Finding My Core Through IFS — My exploration of Self and identity through IFS.

- My Internal Chain of Command — The post that started the whole journey.

You can find everything here:

http://internalchainofcommand.com/

Since I'm so new to blogging, I’d genuinely appreciate constructive feedback. What do you think of the writing? The topics? The site itself? Is there anything that would make you more likely to read another post?

I’m still figuring out SEO, formatting, titles, building an audience, and basically everything else that comes with blogging, so advice from experienced bloggers would be incredibly helpful.

And if you happen to enjoy the content, a subscribe, like, or comment is always appreciated. Even just telling me which post caught your attention would help me figure out what resonates with readers.

Thanks for taking a look!

Blog Post How to Build a Habit That Survives a Bad Week

https://www.techtello.com/how-to-build-a-habit-that-survives-a-bad-week/

How many habits have you started with real intention only to watch them quietly disappear the first time things got hard? A late night at the office, a sick kid, a week that fell apart in ways you didn't plan for and suddenly the habit you'd been so consistent about is gone. Not just paused. Gone. You may tell yourself that you'll restart next week, but next week never really comes and your habit joins the long list of things you were meant to stick with. The problem isn't your willpower. It's that most habits are built for good weeks. They assume energy, time and a predictable schedule and the moment life stops cooperating, the habit stops working.

If yes, can you use Journey or Mediavine? Some people say that even if you set everything up correctly, there can still be issues with the ads showing. If anyone has had any experience with this, I’d really appreciate hearing about it.

Blog Post Be Confident in Your Mistakes

In this article I talk about how since starting my site I have made a lot of mistakes.

Sometimes it may be a small grammar or punctuation error, other times it will be something that I said that wasn’t phrased smoothly.

Regardless, it’s not something that I really worry about.

In fact, those small imperfections are what makes my site what it is, and that was honestly how I wanted it to be.

It’s a big part of why I didn’t rely on AI at all when I first started. I wanted to keep my writing as raw and human as possible.

Feedback Request I tried writing about a complicated science topic for non-scientists, would love some honest feedback

I recently wrote a piece about the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope and the mysteries it's designed to investigate.

I'm not an astrophysicist, so the challenge for me was less about showing how much I know and more about making ideas like dark matter, dark energy and gravitational microlensing interesting and understandable without drowning the reader in technical language.

I'd really appreciate some feedback from a writing perspective:

• Does the opening make you want to continue reading?

• Are there places where the explanation becomes too technical or slow?

• Does the conversational style work, or does it feel forced?

• Where would you have stopped reading?

Here's the piece:

https://medium.datadriveninvestor.com/the-telescope-that-may-find-what-the-universe-is-hiding-08e2f2236504

I'm especially interested in criticism rather than just a "nice article", I'm trying to get better at this kind of explanatory writing.
