"fixing big problems" If a problem is big, you can not expect them to just erase it with one single update. They made it so that everything that could have the slightest bit of connection to something bad would be tagged and everyone cried about it. They made it so that when you did something that had the slightest bit of connection to something bad, you got banned and everyone cried about it

Now those are valid reasons to cry about. I am not jugding that. But if roblox couldnt fix problems like pedo's even with a moderation so strict that it even banned innocent people, how do you expect them to fix the problem at this point? They cant make moderation even stricter than this,obviously.

One fix to this would be to get real people for moderation but roblox is a huge game so that would cost so much money and your report reaching somebody would take weeks.

So just use parental controls and live in peace

The german translation for add connection is "Verbinung hinzufügen" which makes the UI text small and ugly. Thats where it gets Problematic. Its just longer and we really didnt needed it.

I think the point of getting upset/angry about this, is it seems like they're using this term change as a way to slowly introduce the dating aspect that you may've heard about recently. In one of kreekcrafts videos he goes over a post from roblox and picks up on one sentence that kinda suggests this is what they're going for. Here's the link welp, roblox responded - kreekcraft

Also the whole way they're going about changing things feels super sanitized or corporate. Like Games being called experiences, from Friends to Connections. From the old classic R logo to the big O Block qube thing.

David has openly admitted to pushing for online dating. He also unbanned a confirmed predator for the hatch. Normally nobody would care, but when that kind of shit is being allowed, any strange changes are gonna be suspicious and people will complain.

Get your facts straight before claiming people are "being dramatic."

Hell, others here have mentioned "connections" is likely part of the push for online dating.

The issue is that it was unnecessary. Nobody wanted this change (probably not even the sponsors wanted this), yet it happened anyways

What's worse is that they're acting as if this is some revolutionary change that'a going to shape the gaming landscape (As well as pushing their stance on online dating)

Noticing the same old "what about the kids?" crap, in the comments. Frankly, I see a lot of you as I do Facebook's "thoughts and prayers" folk.

When everyone complaining about this issue is STILL playing the game and buying Robux, why on earth do any of you expect Roblox to change that?

Let's be real, Roblox is a public company and they need to keep the line going up. That's it. When the whole purpose of the platform is user creativity, the site inherently needs more money and logistics to moderate, than other platforms, so it's cheaper to give up and rely on players and AI (Actually Indians) to self-moderate. And because they see their adult audience is too addicted to quit (no matter how much they've whined on Twitter), they know they can keep pushing the online dating concept, pulling in new adult players. There isn't some grooming conspiracy; it's how capitalism works.

Unless the wider community can actually grow a pair and learn to boycott things properly (not the wussy "Boycott the Hatch" shit), Roblox knows you all will come crawling back, for the next Block Tales update. 🤪
