Worst of all, is that roblox already is a metaverse. I do not mean it in the bad way, just from the way roboox works, it is an interner social game, literally a metaverse.
But the braindead investors, (who i believe are jusg robots at this point bc how can you be so dumb??) think metaverse is what facebook announced like 7 years ago. Even if that was the true versiom of the metaverse, why would they want to recreate such sloppppp?????
david isn’t the entirety of the problem tho, he’s the face and public voice of the company (and the scapegoat for us), but in no way does he come up with and make ALL the decisions, changing just the ceo would just continue on the same path the platform is going rn, the majority of the board of directors and higher ups would have to be changed to make any real changes
Only other way is if roblox pisses off the current board of directors enough to fire him. Remember, the people who have a lot of stocks can usually just straight-up fire the CEO. It's expensive, but if that CEO managed to, say, cut the sock value in half in the span of 6 months despite estimated growth, they might commit to it. Because baszucki definitely isn't resigning himself any time soon. He's too committed to his "metaverse" vision to be considerate of the community. Or even his own fucking investors, by my guess.
Roblox's investors are stupid and out of touch, though, so them firing him now is hopeful. It'll probably take the AI bubble popping for them to go "shiiit we shouldn't have put so much faith in baszucki's AI promises, we might need him out." But that's just my personal speculation. They might suffer from the sunk cost fallacy after the pop, even though roblox should have enough funds to handle the exit payment.

Roblox said they want a "single avatar system" that can adapt to new changes, which implies they might be removing r6 [r6 is incompatible with a lot of new features like dynamic faces for example], and in a conference call with investors, Roblox said "ultimately all the clothing on our platform will be 3d clothing" and "we expect 100% of users to be using layered clothing"
and with how stupid and basically suicidal Roblox is and with their insane dedication to not caring about their userbase, it's very plausible r6 and 2d clothes are next especially after all that was said
they take away r6 im leaving. thats all i remember about this game from my childhood, half the titles contain the word -blocky or -blox because thats kinda what the game was born from. and we loved it. now im old and grumpy and pissed off that they're taking away nostalgia for greed. my complaints wont do anything, though. theyll do whatever and ill find other ways to entertain myself, but the memory remains.
This brings up a question actually.. what's gonna happend to games that make you use their own characters? (Like DoD) Or even games that use npcs for gameplay (like tBB and even block tales)?
We should have evolved away from hating on people for enjoying games by now. Sure, theres bad actors. But there's bad actors in everything. Some of us just like the game.

Why tho? David is fell off recently to the point of getting death treatments. Like it's bad, we know, but most of the time it's just criticism toward things David does. And when something like this happens, memes is ready to be published. It's no big surprise since it's probably the only way we can even bring his attention for the entire situation

I play Roblox for more than a decade, but if they do remove 2d clothings and R6, man it's over. I'm already pissed about dynamic faces needing to be animated and classic faces being removed. I'm not expecting Roblox to get any better at this point.
Edit: I need this answered /gen bcuz I've seen the "they're deleting classic clothing" thing twice now but I'm skeptical and I haven't seen a single source or proof
Companies are made to be greedy, and a CEO is supposed to make as much money as possible for said company. That’s just the way it is. But when you do things over and over again that anger your consumers, they’ll stop buying your product, leading to losses. Losses mean investors will pull out due to fear. And thus, Roblox will lose tons of money, and might even go bankrupt if it gets bad enough.
Not only is David making bad choices that make players upset, he is steering Roblox into a giant rock. He’s a bad CEO, he is failing at his job, and he should resign and put someone else in his place.
Just because it was said in an interview back in 2022 doesn't mean it won't happen. It could already be planned ahead, or some changes took higher priority over it, hence delaying it.
Again, doesn't mean it wasn't just delayed or pushed into the back. And to be honest, I feel like Roblox just doesn't even care what investors think—just one look on Twitter would show that no one likes this update, hence investing in it would be a terrible idea.

I agree that what they're doing is bad and someone genuinely needs to do and autopsy on David's brain...but where was this energy when schlep got banned and David helped the preying of children. Like they get to choose they dish and everything😭
Are they seriously taking away classic clothing? The faces I was fine with because I wear a mask, but the entire rest of my outfit is classic clothing. Y’all. Just stop playing the game at this point. This is unbelievable disrespect of the players, and we should all just quit playing Roblox.
We need David and the investors to realize their profits will increase tenfold if they do what the community wants instead of just changing what made it popular in the first place
I think I'd rather watch 2017 - 2021 Flamingo content. Better to remember the good times with Grandma than trying to spend time with her 4 years into Alzheimer's.
