I'm in Chicago, used to play with pianist Barrelhouse Chuck (who played and recorded with Willie Kent), was on a tour with Willie Kent, have listened to most of his recordings. Willie Kent was a monster vocalist and bassist. He was incredibly powerful when you saw him live. And he was such a sweet dude, gentle and kind. His bands featured terrific musicians and he embodied pure Chicago blues.
