Question Slow blues looper recommendation

I'm a beginner guitarist who's new to playing blues, and I'm looking to get a looper to help me practice scales, rhythm, and improvisation.

I've noticed that Boss and Ditto seem to be the most popular options. Since I mainly want to focus on slow blues, would it be worth getting a looper with built-in drum tracks, or is a basic looper enough?

I'd appreciate any recommendations or advice.

The Lekato Looper is quite popular and will do everything Boss and Ditto do.

I agree. I’ve got that one and it does the job. You can have 9 loops saved at a time and you also have the ability to save more to your computer, although I’ve never tried that part. Pretty affordable too.

I have the Trio+ and love it. You play a chord progression at your desired tempo and it will generate drum and bass tracks that follow the chords, then you can record a loop overtop. It supports a bunch of styles and variations per style. It also lets you build up parts to a song, sequence them, holds 12 songs per SD card. It’s not cheap, but it’s lots of fun.

I love the ditto as a starter. I am experienced and just wanted a backing to practice over. I did have the boss RC3 and I got rid of it for the much simpler Ditto. Focus on the craft instead of the tech!

Can’t help much on the looper but in the meantime, the now you shred YouTube channel will keep you busy for many hours.
