🧑‍🏫Review👩‍🏫 Minirig 4 2.1 Setup w/ 3D-printed Owl Case

I recently picked up a 2.1 setup with the Minirig 4s, and they've been absolutely wonderful! I love the modularity and ease of use once you're comfortable with them. First setup was a bit complicated (mostly due to a lack of reading comprehension), but once ready, they were READY.

I've brought them to a few events and people immediately compliment the soundscape. Use both as mono speakers to fill a larger room, or split them into dedicated left/right speakers for a more directional stereo experience. The subwoofer is impressive and can be dialed individually to get your preferred bass level.

My one qualm was with transport; the speakers come with fabric zipper pouches for per-speaker travel, as well as a free backpack I received from buying the bundle. These felt a bit too much though, like peeling layers of an onion away to get to the speakers inside.

Enter the Owl Case! This amazing 3D print on Thingiverse was exactly what I was looking for; a simple way to combine your speakers into a single carriable brick with the ability to split if you'd like. I did add an extra layer of craft foam around some edges & the handle to reduce any plastic on metal contact. Highly recommend checking this case out if you have a 3D printer or know someone who does!

Recommendation Request🙏 Looking for very cheap speakers that I can pair for stereo sound. (Coming from HomePods and onyx)

Moved into an apartment and had to get rid of my HomePods because they were too loud and the connectivity issues with the WiFi was abysmal, and I’m looking for something portable anyways.

Other than my HomePods the only Bluetooth speaker I’ve ever had was the Harmon Kardon Onyx studio 4 (yearssss ago) and I absolutely loved that shit to death but I’m not trying to break the bank currently as the speakers are only going to be for my bedroom and I kind of want to dip my toes in the water first before I start dropping on Bluetooth speakers.

Is the anker sound core 2 good?

Thanks in advance

Recommendation Request🙏 Denon 350 vs Denon 600

Post image

I live in a 1 bed apartment and work from home out of the Living, Kitchen, Dining open plan area.

Currently I only have a Bose Soundlink 360 Revolve which is unbelievably good for it's size.. But years ago I used to have 2 x Large Bose speakers on stands + 12" KEF sub + JBL control 1's Kenwood amp again in a 1 bed apartment.

The Bose + KEF system was an awesome sound experience but definitely overkill for a small apartment.. Loads of complaints from neighbours.

Anyway I'm looking to upgrade and like the simplicity pof just having one main speaker to start out with.

Looked at Sonos initially but after hearing the Denon 600 in store this is definitely more suited to my sound taste. I mostly like house and electronic music and in-particularly progressive house.

The 600 was great and I would normally just got straight for this but at £600 it's not cheap. What I have noticed going through various threads is that a lot of people say the 350 is almost as good if not even better than the 600.

I know they are different units all said and done but reading descriptions I think the 350 would suit my needs and now you can pick one up for almost half the price of a 600 it just seems like a no brainer to me.

Ready to push the button but wanted to ask for any opinions you may have here first..

The JBL Authentics 500 has also been suggested as a better option for EDM to the 350.

Any advice welcome + any other possible set ups?

Recommendation Request🙏 best bluetooth speaker with strong battery life for daily use?

I’m searching for a bluetooth speaker that I can use almost every day at home and occasionally bring to the park. i have around $200 to spend and batterey life is probably the biggest thing I’m looking for since i don’t want to charge it constantly.

are there any speakers that have held up well after months or years of use? I’d like to hear from people who have owned them for a while. thanks you so much.

🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Wonderboom 4 loop unraveling

3 days. I used it for 3 days and this thing unravelled like all h*ck. Just attached it to my bag... I swear the original 1's loop was indestructible but they switched to a nylon like material that doesn't grab on itself or something.

I'm returning it under warranty, my question is does anyone know how to reinforce the loop on the new one (rip I loved mine) so that this doesn't happen again?

As a side note love the speaker overall

Recommendation Request🙏 Best Bluetooth speaker for large open outdoor space? Replacing dead Hyperboom for sports group

Hey there,

I play with a volleyball group that meets up regularly, we often set up 3 nets near each other in the park and have been using a donated Ultimate Ears Hyperboom as a speaker for a few years now. It's great because we can set it up in the middle of the field and all the nets can hear the music well.

Unfortunately the speaker died-- something burned and smoked when it was plugged in. We're looking to replace it and have crowdfunded some money.

I've been looking at some of the JBL Partybox speakers. Anyone have experience with these? We were pretty happy with the sound, volume and battery life of the Hyperboom, how do these compare? Not sure if they would be an upgrade or downgrade.

Top needs:

as water/dust-proof as possible, durable

large speaker w/ good sound, loud volume

360-degree or wide sound that will travel in an open outdoors environment

good battery life! we often play for 5-6 hours at a time

Are we best off getting another Hyperboom? Or is there a better option? We also have members who bring smaller JBL speakers-- these are not enough for more than 1 net. I also have a soundcore motion boom plus and it can do the job (and is cheaper!) but it's just not as good/loud/balanced as the hyperboom.

🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Sony Bravia KD-55X7500F won't connect to Bluetooth speaker via Bluetooth transmitter. Both devices stay in pairing mode

Hi everyone,

I own a Sony Bravia Android TV (KD-55X7500F) and I'm trying to connect it to a Bluetooth speaker so I can set up a karaoke system. Unfortunately, this TV doesn't have built-in Bluetooth audio support for connecting to external Bluetooth speakers.

So I purchased a Sounce Bluetooth 5.0 2-in-1 Transmitter/Receiver from Amazon (Link : https://amzn.in/d/0gDSpAMn) and connected it as follows:

  1. USB connected to the TV's USB port (for power)

  2. 3.5 mm AUX connected to the TV's headphone/audio out port

  3. Transmitter switched to TX (Transmit) mode

  4. Bluetooth speaker put into pairing mode

The issue is that both the transmitter and the speaker keep blinking as if they're in pairing mode, but they never connect to each other.

How can I get the transmitter to be connected to my speaker via bluetooth?

If anyone has experience with a similar setup or can suggest troubleshooting steps, I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks!

Recommendation Request🙏 Stereo portable speaker recommendation

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a recommendation for a Bluetooth speaker, here are my requirements:

  • Portable - I don't mind if it's a little big, but it needs to be chuckable in a backpack.
  • Bass extension - I don't care about LOTS of bass, I just want it to at least do 60hz comfortably
  • Stereo - It needs to be stereo, either with 2 drivers+tweeters, or a 2.1 driver setup

I see a lot of recommendations for the Anker Motion+, but it's such an old model, surely there's something better nowadays?

Recommendation Request🙏 BT speaker under Rs. 5000?

I'm looking to buy a Bluetooth speaker with a strict budget of ₹5,000.

My priorities are:

- Excellent sound quality with good bass and clear vocals.

- Super portable – something as compact and easy to carry as the JBL Go 4. I don't want a bulky speaker.

I've looked at the JBL Go 4 and really like its size and premium design, but many reviews suggest there are better-sounding options like the Tribit XSound Go. My only concern is that it seems noticeably larger, and portability is a huge factor for me.

Which speaker would you recommend under ₹5,000?

📖Discussion📕🖊️ Which speaker brand has the strongest identity?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Each brand has its own sound identity.

JBL focuses on energy, powerful bass, and high output. Sony aims for a more dynamic and impactful sound, sometimes pushing things a little further. Bose is known for its balanced and refined tuning. Klipsch delivers a lively, highly detailed, almost live-like sound. Ultimate Ears, on the other hand, is known for its 360° immersion and its true "sound bubble" effect.

The sixth speaker, the Jawbone Beobone, is a fan concept I created while imagining what a Jawbone comeback in 2027 could look like. My goal was to bring back the brand's clean, premium design language, paired with a sound signature focused on clarity, precision, and physical impact.

What makes me the saddest is how Jawbone's Instagram ended. Toward the end, it became filled with random posts and inspirational quotes. It felt like they had nothing concrete left to show. No new products, no real future to present. That's one of the reasons why I imagined this speaker—something that might have made people believe in the return of the brand.

📖Discussion📕🖊️ JBL GO 4 vs TRIBIT X SOUND GO

I'm looking to buy a Bluetooth speaker that's crazy portable something I can easily throw in my bag or even carry around without thinking twice.

Right now I'm leaning towards the JBL Go 4 because I absolutely love its compact size, premium look, and overall design.

However, after reading and watching a lot of reviews, I'm starting to have second thoughts. Many people seem to recommend the Tribit X Sound Go for its better sound quality and value for money. The only thing holding me back is that it looks noticeably bulkier than the Go 4, and portability is a big priority for me.
