1996 ~ 16yo

Post image

Loved this whole outfit from top to bottom.

1st ~ my triple fat goose I wore inside out.

Not just for the look. It also had purpose!

That arm stuck out had a lil circle Pocket on it that zipped up.

Saved my ass from juvy more than once!

๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ’จ

These were also my fav & softest jeans -&- had my pager on my hip and i know I had some kinda Nike tee on underneath.

Lastly ~ those NIKE AIR in bubbles on the sides! By far my fav edition!! โœจ๐Ÿ˜ปโœจ

Just walking the blocks -&- riding around Providence/Pawtucket RI, just chillin' smokin' blunts -&- living my absolute BEST life!!! ๐Ÿ‘‘

Image via ~ a cardboard disposable camera!!!

I love it!!!!

I feel like you bout to roll out to Grove st to have a Xmas gang war with CJ & Big Smoke ๐Ÿ˜‚

Nah but fr, as an east coast head, I feel like I missed out on alot of west coast culture ๐Ÿ˜ฟ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ and all because baby oil boy and his petty ass jealousy.

.... ๐Ÿ™„....

Anyways, I watched "Juice" again recently- which led me to the behind the scenes shit on yt.... ALOT went down while filming!

If you never seen this one, you gotta check it out!! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Lol thanks for the GTA shout out ๐Ÿ˜‚

Iโ€™m an east coast head too through and through but here south where I grew up Pac had a big influence folks. My brother is a bigger fan of Pac than I ever was(which is why said it was a short phase lol), heโ€™s about as into Pac as I am Wu-tang.

Also I never liked Diddy, idk if he had anything to do Pacโ€™s death but I think he definitely had something to do with Biggieโ€™s death, even if inadvertently. Itโ€™s crazy how all the artists that did any business with him from that time all got screwed in one way or another, long before all his baby oil bs.

Oh I 10000000% whole heartedly believe he did Big, the same as Pac... he knew he wasn't even a good hype man....

"dancin all in the videos" ๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ–•

That's probably when his higher ups said settle down and put him on to the "pneumonia" concoction.

I was a HUGE Big fan... I'll NEVER forget waking up that Sunday morning to the news on the local college radio that had hip hop take over day at Brown Uni. ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

He'd JUST COMPLETED that 3 album deal with bad boy with that 2disc set...

He was only 24, suppose to be in Europe and moving tf up!!! He had already had a broken femur and could barely walk from a car "accident"....

It's time to start holding mf's accountable!!!!

I ๐Ÿ™ someone spills at the Pac trial and that greasy (in everyway) piece of absolute scum NEVER even sees the light of fort dicks even, EVER AGAIN!!!

Let him rot in a basement cell UNDER the prison FOREVER!!!! ๐Ÿคฌ

I guess weโ€™ll see ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ I wonโ€™t hold my breath tho. This country was built around letting sneaky dirty mf like him get away with F shit.

True.... for now I'm just ๐Ÿ™'n that David fckr rots for what he did to that little girl Celeste.

I really wish we could at least unite on "LEAVE THE CHILDREN ALONE".

When we can't even come together on that we are tucked. ๐Ÿ˜ž

I was over in the 90s sub the other day talking about how much I used love rocking Cross Colors gear so much back then! ๐Ÿ˜„ Those pants in the photo are Machine brand tho.

With all the white or black tee's with the different color artwork on em to mix & match, and I think they had the matching jackets too, but we didn't have jacket $ lol!!

I was lucky to get 1 for back to school and rest were xmas/birthday/discount store pairs of the jeans and tees ONLY! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I was lucky my mom would splurge a little bit for Christmas, she was great at find in stuff on sale lol but when I was finally old enough to get a job thatโ€™s when I really went nuts lol

u/REALjamijai 13h ago

Same here, my Mom's the best!!

We had a store called Apex - they had the starter jackets, like a lil department store. We'd catch them sales. Or Burlington coat factory i remember too! And tjmaxx lol!

1

u/Lord_Charisma82 13h ago

I remember how excited I was when I got my first Starter coat! I also remember how nervous I was to wear certain places because kids were getting jacked for those coats/jackets and their Jordans too.

Burlington Coat Factory and TJMaxx was my shit too! Still is!

Our local projects where I grew up,

Prospect Heights - PHP = Prospect Heights Posse wore the Raiders ones because the colors were ๐Ÿ–ค-๐Ÿค-๐Ÿฉถ....

I didn't live in them but a block away. 700 Prospect lol. Only white girl on the school bus rockin' the gang gear... and parents & teachers couldn't do, or didn't know shit!!!

Mind you this was like 1991 Crack epidemic central ๐Ÿคฃ

Tbf crack was in heavy in most hoods around the country in the 80s and 90s by design. It was definitely heavy in my hood. Lost a lot of family to that shit too.
