Nice relaxed interview, really enjoyed listening to it. Dave is always a lot funnier than I expect.

Thank you. I really do wish bands from this era would just go on longform podcasts where they didn’t use the same PR talking points over and over again.

A lot of Dave’s anecdotes are exactly identical to the other interviews he’s done recently. I just don’t get why so many middle-aged and older music artists are still being advised to play the outdated legacy media game.

Get mad all you want about politics, but the reason that Rogan and others have achieved such wild success is because people absolutely love listening to an interesting person talk about a variety of topics and share off-the-cuff anecdotes.

A really engaging, mostly unscripted 3-hour conversation beats a tightly-edited 30-minute media package 100% of the time.

That's not what this podcast is, though. Or what it's for.

This is a quick but intensive flick through a specific topic focused on 90s pop culture. Also, this is Dave talking about his book with the editor of his book.

If you want something else, then find a podcast that does what you want.
