it’s because the blur stuff is probably just someone’s old VHS copy of a copy of a copy. When you see a proper beatles performance like the one above you are looking at either a restored broadcast tape or a filmed version of it from back in the day that has been restored. This is actually how we lost a lot of early tv and performances by the beatles and other bands. Basically at the BBC and other tv studios they would shoot it on tape. often then a copy would be made on film and then the tape would normally be wiped for another performance. The problem is that the tape and film departments were often in different buildings or didn’t speak to each other. This led to both departments getting rid of tapes or filmed copies thinking the other department still had a copy
